About the Author
USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tabatha Kiss lives in Chicago, Illinois. You can probably catch her huddled up in a hoodie, reading a good romance beneath a tree in Jackson Park with her trusty husky by her side. She enjoys roller derby, sushi, and is always searching for her forever bad boy. In the meantime, she writes.

Stand-alone: Not really - This story ends but leads in to book 3
Part of a Series: Yes - Book 2 of the Midwest Alphas Trilogy
POV: Mostly Claire, some Tobias
Unbroken starts about a year after Untouched finishes. If you haven't read book 1 (Untouched) I highly recommend doing so prior to reading Unbroken but if you choose not to Tabatha Kiss does an excellent job catching the reader up with the events of book 1. Unbroken is just as gritty and violent as the Untouched and then some. Unbroken also raises the steam level between Claire and Tobias. Unbroken features both new and old enemies and left me wondering what was going to happen. There were parts where I had to put the book down in order to diminish the tension that it built throughout. Tabatha Kiss is an excellent writer and this series showcases her talent. I cannot wait to dive in to book 3.
I liked the continuation, but I had a hard time liking Claire this time around. She was incredibly selfish; all the conflict happening and she makes about her. Also, she didn't believe in Tobias. She was so confident in Rick he abusive ex, but not the young man she claims to love.
The cliffhanger is bigger this time around, and you have to continuing reading in order to get an ending. I definitely feel it's worth it to keep reading.
This trio of books was... amazing. Tabatha Kiss is an extremely talented writer but this was a bit darker than I'm used to from her. Rivaling her book Muffin Top, this book takes the reader on a journey of not only the two lead characters, but the supporting and feature. How Lillian tied in with Charlie, how Tobias' mom and sister's past tied in, even Pike... and Rick! Perfect villain, suave and attractive but completely sociopathic. I have never hated a character more - which says a lot to how well he was written as the bad guy.
I hope Amy and Ryan will get a follow up on their story from their perspective. This is my honest review of a voluntarily read ARC. You can read these individually, in order, but save your time and one click all three at once, you wont want to stop once you start!
Claire is in the process of becoming an Alpha Dame. She's finding her place in the world with Tobias at her side. Until Rick comes back, refusing to let go - and that sets several plot elements in motion.
I absolutely loved Tobias in this story. His love for Claire is strong and unwavering, so much it almost borders on unhealthy at times. But it's a rare kind of love with intensity that is deep within his soul. And the author does an excellent job of showing just how limitless his love is for Claire. The steam level is noticeably higher in this one now that Claire is eighteen and her relationship with Tobias is going strong.
The tension is high in this story and there's an underlying storyline that will keep you guessing until it's revealed toward the end. Things aren't as they appear and several key people have been played in a game of dominance.
This is an excellent second book in the trilogy and keeps the momentum going for the final book - which I couldn't wait to start reading.
