About the Author
K-lee Klein loves guys with long hair and tattoos, and you'll often find her front and center at her favorite rock concerts. She tends to fall into obsessions and once followed Thirty Seconds to Mars around the United States and Canada, seeing them perform fourteen times that year. Sometimes her obsessions with musicians, actors, superheroes, and brainwashed assassins turn into inspiration for her fickle writing muse, creating stories of healing, love, and hope. She's supported by her patient husband and three wonderful children, and owned by two bossy cats.

In this latest installment, you are given the ultimate gift of joining the boys as they celebrate a year of holidays in glorious fashion. Each special day is filled with suspense and surprises…tailor-made to live on in the memories of characters and readers, alike. After savoring this luscious romance, you’ll never experience Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve quite the same way ever again.
Ms. Klein’s masterful writing, and her unerring sense of pacing and style, weave a vibrant tapestry. Each character’s story continues to build in finessed layers sure to delight and intrigue you. Indeed, the more you learn about Brett and JT, the more you’ll want their saga to go on and on.
UNBROKEN HEARTS is an enduring tale, richly conceived. Brett and JT fans will adore it…just like I did. Well done, K-lee Klein!
My apologies to Ms Klein, this should have been a Release day review, but that darn dayjob got in the way!
And a little warning. I may gush in this review :-)
So, this is book two, and you really REALLY MUST read book one, Unbreak My Heart before you jump into this one. Some may say not totally necessary but I say it is. And you'll need a box of tissues for that read!
While this one doesn't carry emotions that cause your heart to break into a million tiny pieces, get stomped on, and glued back together in the slowest way, it DOES carry a lotta love. Like so much love, its not funny! Like so much love my sister would say "pass the bucket!"
JT and Brett have been together a couple months and are very much in love. But they are both still dealing with the past. What this book is about, is them dealing with that past in ways only JT and Brett can.
AND IT IS GLORIOUS!
I read this book in one sitting. Stayed up way past my bedtime. Was not present at the dayjob next day. I just could not put it down! It is, by far, the most too stinking cute AND warm and fuzzies book I've read for a long time. I mean, its hilarious watching JT work himself up into a tizzy about Valentines Day. Watching them deal with Mama and Halloween, and Christmas. It is painful reading about Brett dealing that darn barn, but that pain is overshadowed by the LOVE that jumps off every page, it really is.
I LISTENED to the first book. I am praying to every deity known to man, and then some, that the powers that be will get this book narrated once again by Nick J Russo. Because while I loved reading this book, I could hear Russo in my head but the voices were all wrong. So, I'm a-praying.
Its so very rare we get a follow up story to one that was such a heart wrenching read. Brett and JT fought hard to get their act together and reading this, over the course of their year, was amazing, and I really REALLY loved it.
But I just gotta say, even though this book was perfect, and Brett already said he wasn't the kind for pieces of paper to say how much he loved the kid, I wanted a marriage proposal! Had there been a wedding?? I'd never have been able to find the right words!
An amazing 5 star read!!

A little over a year ago, I read a book called “Unbreak My Heart.” I can honestly say I don’t remember what drew me to the book, only what kept me coming back, and that was the character of Brett. Haunted by the decisions of his past, he spent his days working on his ranch and his nights losing himself in the bottle. That is, until his lovingly overbearing mother, Millie, picks up JT on the side of the road, and insists he work on the ranch. Watching Brett fight his inner demons and claw his way from the depths of despair was truly remarkable.
Now, you might be asking why I’m talking so much about that book when this is a review for another. The answer is simple: Unbroken Hearts is a continuation of the love story of Brett and JT.
There’s a seamless transition. If you read the first book, it’s like meeting old friends. Millie still meddles, but with the best of intentions. Ray is still crotchety. JT is has found his footing, going from California surfer boy to glorified ranch hand. And Brett…Brett has lost his anger and guilt. The banter between Brett and Ray is perfect. The sense of family, even though half of the characters aren’t related by blood is perfect. In one scene, Millie signs a card to her “sons”, and it just melts your heart. Everything Brett does, and I mean EVERYTHING, is for JT.
While it’s possible to read this on its own, I really wouldn’t recommend it for only one reason. You would be doing a total disservice to yourself and to the characters. It’s well worth reading the first one to completely enjoy this. It’s a warm, cozy continuation to one of my favorite couples, and I enjoyed every word!
