The item was used; but the state overall was OK. The statue seems fine; same for the other 2 items (ring and belt buckle). The metal case is nice to look at, and seem pretty solid overall. Nothing really to say about that.
For 40 dollars it is a good deal; the statue is a Sideshow piece, so that alone is worth almost 40 dollars. The game is fantastic, I already had it on my PS3 as digital download via PSN plus; but since I am not a member anymore; I did want to get the game to play it again.
The only disappointing part is the box; the outer box arrived a bit damaged, and that's OK, but the box that contain the game and everything else, is basically cardboard with nice paper glued on it; to give it a wooden look. I was not expecting high quality wood; but not even that it was made of cardboard. But for 40 dollars it is OK; the ring is nice, and the belt buckle is totally useless for me, even as collector piece, but oh well; the statue and the game are what matters after all.
The actual collectors edition itself has a pretty bad figure in my opinion. The figure completely screwed up on Nathan Drake's facial structure and it connects to a base through the foot and its pretty flimsy. The belt buckle is a very nice heavy metal and the ring on the necklace is tied so you don't wear it but you can easily untie it and wear it if you want. I really liked the steel-book and the actual collectors box had a very nice set-up and its very nice, the only thing that I don't like about the box is that it is cardboard.
I gave it 4/5 because it took a bit of time to finally get an email that they sent it out and the sleeve on the outside was lightly damaged.
I would give the actual collectors edition itself a 2-3 out of 5 because they messed up the figure and the collectors box was of cheap material.
Loads of adventure, action, thrills, chills, and everyone's favorite wise cracking fool, Drake. Together with Sully they travel the world in search of a lost city. Easily on of my favorite games of all time!
Box- The box is well designed and made out of strong cardboard. Don't let this turn you off, because it's still quite durable.
Ring- The ring was a bit cheap looking but still beter than 80% of the collector edition items out there. I've been wearing it for a couple months and it's still going strong.
Belt Buckle- well crafted and easy to actually fit on the belt. Looks a bit clunky and low calibre on the belt in reality though.
Steelbook- The steelbook is aesthetically pleasing, and offers great protection. However, I think they could've done a bit better with the art.
Statue- The statue has many areas of articulation as well as a removeable assault rifle. It's not as detailed as I would like but overall very good.
As for the the game... I had never been a fan of the first person shooter genre, although I did enjoy my time playing The Darkness, but was curious about Uncharted, as everything indicated this was the Indiana Jones PlayStation game that never was and I had been waiting for my whole life. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed.
Months before ordering the edition, I got the first 2 games as part of a bundle package and just took up my sleep time and my weekend nights out. I am now a Naughty Dog convert and I must thank the studio for giving us the 3 beautifully visual masterpieces they created, Drake's Deception really being the jewel to top the crown!
