I've gotten a desk calendar every year for the past 10 years and this is the first time I've ever gotten the same calendar for two years. I like it that much! It's fun to read little facts and stories and an occasional brain teaser every morning when I go in to work.

I've purchased page-a-day calendars with several different themes over the years, but I keep coming back to Uncle John's for a good mix of trivia, humor, and interesting facts. The company switched last year from square design to die-cut round design which I didn't like mainly because the adhesive didn't work well - my 2011 calendar came apart in several places. This year's 2012 calendar still has only the same narrow strip of adhesive at the top, but maybe there's more of it because so far I haven't had any trouble with the calendar separating from the stand, or with a chunk of pages breaking off from the rest. Personally, I'd be happier with a traditional square calendar design (more conducive to using the old pages for scrap notes), but square or round I'll keep coming back to Uncle John's for the content.

I have been purchasing this calendar for several years now, and yes, I do keep it in the bathroom. With this calendar, first thing in the morning you always have reading material and you know the date. It is entertaing and educational. How else would I have known that the letter with the most entries in English dictionaries is T. Or that Donald duck's parents are named Hortense and Quackmore?
