Top customer reviews
As an earlier reviewer said, it has a learning curve you have to get through before you get comfortable with it. Works OK after you ruin a dozen or so rounds of ammo learning how to use it. I used the dented rounds to practice using the loader, since they were already damaged I figured it wouldn't hurt to dent them some more.
My general impression is that the construction of the loader is a little on the cheap side - but for the price it seems about right. I does not seem like it will take a lot of abuse, so I will try to handle with care.
Here are a couple of hints I figured out so far. You have to be gentle and not turn the crank too hard or you will score and bend the cartridge brass as you are trying to inject the round into the clip. If you feel resistance, wiggle the knob and let the cartridge settle into position. If you have to force it, things are not lined up right.
Do not over fill the bin with cartridges, this makes it difficult to shake the rounds into the alignment slot. It is a lot faster to refill the loader than to mess around shaking it all day to get the rounds to fall into place.
Can't beat this loader for the price and beats the heck out of thumbing it!
it will damage casings if you try to force them into the mag. if you feel resistance, back off a quarter turn and the try again. if you go ham on it, you're going to dent the casing, guaranteed. if you can play nice with this loader, it's fast and efficient. Your thumbs will thank you - a lot. The build quality is not "mil-spec", but the thing works just fine and as long as you're not planning to step on it or use it as a hammer, you'll be pleased with longevity.
buy it and enjoy shooting lots of .22 long rifle
