The sad thing is that many people today have not read the book, white or black, every thinking person should read this book, and be proud to. The book that launched the Civil War, and paved the way for change.
This is the FULL and COMPLETE edition, and the best edition to own.
It was ordered thru Amazon by someone in our family, who decided it was not for them - this is sad, because this book played such an important part of each one of us today, and the freedoms that were won at so costly a price, that I felt obliged to read it myself.
I'm honored that I did.
I can see why this book motivated so many in the North to help stop slavery, and I can see why those in the south could feel the shame. This is such a pivotal book in the history of freedom, for all people not just black people, not just Americans, but all people who are free, or desire it.
This book needs to be kept alive and in circulation.
If each of us read it, our country could be very different and vastly better!
