He's done it again! This artist's lyrical complexity is mind-blowing. I found out about Andy about 3 months ago, and he has completely redefined music for me. After Heroes For Sale and Never Land, I googled him a few weeks ago and almost spit out my coffee when I saw this album was about to drop! Pr-Ordered it immediately and received it last night. Immediately off the bat the album has an indescribable vibe to it that I havent heard in a very long time................the feel of authenticity! Andy's content is so deep, real, and sincere, listening to him feels like exactly how I imagine a relaxed, candid conversation with him would go once all the lights and cameras were gone. No pretentiousness. No fakeness. Just pure, Gog-given talent, and I truly believe this album will be the tipping scales for him to begin receiving national attention and public accolades.
Andy, the hard work has paid off. We can see, hear and feel the blood, sweat and tears you have put into your work. Your work ethic is unparalleled from everything you touch, even to your youtube videos. Never lose sight of who gave you this platform and why you were given it. Now its time to reap your harvest. BUY THIS ALBUM NOW AND PLEASE YOUR EARS FOR MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very strong album from Andy Mineo. His sound and style have become so much more refined since Formerly Known. Each release has become some much better. As noted, this is not the "in your face" gospel, but the message is there. Uncomfortable is my favorite track so far. A reminder that as Christians we can get far too comfortable in our lives and never get out to do those things that God calls us to do and be uncomfortable.

All in all, another great release from Andy Mineo and Reach Records.

UNCOMFORTABLE is a good record. Lyrically I think Mineo shows great improvement. His flows are good and varied and he talks about real issues in real ways.
I just wish the production were a little stronger. While the verses and most of the hooks are excellent, the music isn't terribly memorable. It does have a nice throwback vibe, but none of the tracks really stick as they should. They also all seem to be right around the same tempo, which can make the record feel a little monotonous.
Make no mistake about it though: UNCOMFORTABLE is an excellent album. If you have enjoyed his stuff in the past you're probably going to dig this. But it's a little disappointing to hear an excellent record that should have been a great one.

After listening to all the songs in the album I can honestly say I was speechless. This album is not just an album, it's a masterpiece!! Every song has a different unique tune which I love. There wasn't one song that sounded the same. I will tell you this, the album does address some real, deep issues that happening today which makes you think spirituality which I truly admire. This album is a MUST BUY!!!! I will recommend it for anyone Believer in Christ or Not. God is using this man in a special way and I pray he will continue to do so in the future!! I will definitely support his music!!!

Very impressive musically. The Cd as a whole has a really good feel. Andy and his team showed poise and maturity as it not too much to handle. Andy barely talks about Jesus. No focus of glorification of Jesus in the light of His finished work so I'm sure it'll be very attractive to everyone. Very honest and real in the context of the theme. If you want to hear the Gospel your not going to hear it. I personally Miss the days these brothers break down scripture to bring the believer to a higher place of edification but there's a niche of people they have to be sensitive to so dedicating a song breaking down the Good News of the Gospel may be too much for the general public to handle.

27 year-old Andy Mineo follows up his 2014 Never Land EP with a very strong effort, one of my favorite albums of the year. It is an effort that has a variety of music styles with mature, transparent, serious, and at times, painfully honest lyrics. He includes some special guests on the album, but surprisingly no Reach Records label mates (such as Lecrae, Trip Lee or KB). Ramon “Illmind” Ibanga serves as executive producer of the effort. Below are a few thoughts on each song:
Uncomfortable – Right off the bat, Andy sings that if you want live a comfortable life you should be sure not to love anyone, be selfish and never sacrifice.
Uptown – I first listened to this Latin- flavored song while on vacation last week in New York City. It is a song about Mineo’s Washington Heights neighborhood located in uptown New York City.
Now I Know – This song has a great beat, but it’s also about some serious things. Andy sings that the older he gets the more he realizes that almost everything he believed was a lie. This is the first of the less than positive references to his father. Although he feels jaded, he sings that he somehow still believes in God.
Desperados – with guest Mali Music who handles the hook.
Hear My Heart – In this song Andy apologies to his sister Grace, who was born deaf, for never learning sign language.
David’s Roof – This is a brief interlude sung in Spanish with soft horns. Translated it reads:
Prepare me for the war
Because comfort is the fall of kings
Is the fall of kings
The lyrics refer to King David on his roof looking at Bathsheba.
Rat Race – This song features Jon Bellion, known for his production on Eminem’s “The Monster
Know That’s Right – Andy sings of knowing where he is going (Heaven).
