Review

"Sizzling summer perfection! Melody Grace does it again in UNCONDITIONAL. Wait till you get to know Sawyer, ladies... he takes me to my happy place. :)" - Kendall Ryan, NYT and USA Bestselling author.

"I absolutely LOVE this series! All the characters are so fantastically written. Each couple has their issues and flaws, and although I know to expect an HEA, it's the road that ends there that is just so freakin good EVERY SINGLE TIME!" - Paperbook Princess Blog

"Unconditional had me hooked from the very first page. The chemistry between Garrett and Carina is smoldering hot! They both try to deny it, but that doesn't last long. This is a MUST read for Beachwood Bay fans!" - Alisa Porter, goodreads.com

"I loved Garrett. He was the right mix of hot Alpha and sweet swoon worthy man. I loved his 'dirty' mouth ;) I would definitely recommend this book/series to anyone who is looking for great love stories and books with just the right amount of drama and sexy time!" - Book Bitches Blog

Unconditional is book three in the Beachwood Bay series and this series keeps getting better and better with each book. Not one single book in this series I haven’t loved. I love the world of Beachwood Bay that Melody Grace has created.

Unconditional is the story of Garrett Sawyer, mysterious bar owner of the local Beachwood dive bar. I first fall in love with Garrett in Unafraid, when he was such a great friend to Brittany. Garrett has been living in Juliet’s old family home, when one night an unexpected guest comes crashing into his kitchen, Carina. Carina Mackenzie, estrange sister to Juliet. Carina is running from the life she always thought she wanted, that was till the man she thought she was going to spend her life with showed his ugly side. The only placed she can think of to hide out is her old family home in Beachwood Bay, what she wasn’t planning on was Garrett Sawyer.

Scarred from his past Garrett doesn’t do relationships, he thinks he isn’t the man anyone could build a future with. Stepping back from the life she was living, Carina is now going to find out who she really is and what she really wants in her life. Together Garrett and Carina might be able to find what they both have been missing in their lives.

I recommend this series to anyone how loves a true love story with steam, romances by the beach, swoon worthy leading men and girls that are not whinny or annoying. This series won’t disappoint. I can’t wait for the next installment, Uninhibited.

I am a huge fan of the Beachwood Bay series and this book doesn't disappoint! This book is my favorite of the series so far. I was hooked from the beginning! The chemistry between Garrett and Carina is smoldering hot!! I love how the book started out and that Garrett was able to be hero in the book. I also love how Melody told his story. I was in tears several times reading this book. I highly recommend this for all of the Beachwood Bay readers!! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!

I was really quite torn going into this book. I thought for sure I wouldn’t enjoy it as much since I really didn’t like Carina at all, but then I loved Garrett, so I thought he might push my enjoyment of this book to at least 4 stars despite Carina being a part of the book. I couldn’t believe how much I ended up enjoying this book. It was actually my favorite one of the series so far. Carina surprised me so much. I ended up connecting with her and enjoying the journey that she took in this book. It was a long time coming for her and it was really great to see the growth that she was able to accomplish after seemingly hitting rock bottom.

Garrett, of course, was exactly what I expected him to be. He was such an unapologetic ladies man in the previous books, but you could see that there was more to him, especially when he was helping Brit and Hunter get together in Unafraid. His backstory really surprised me and I could see how it shaped him into what he had become. How could anyone trust love after what happened to him? And really, why would anyone with his issues find solace in someone like Carina who always seemed extremely high-maintenance and selfish.

This book was really gut-wrenchingly perfect. I loved every minute of it, even when I still wasn’t sure I was going to like Carina at all. Melody Grace did an amazing job making me fall for these two characters despite my hesitation, just like these two characters fell for each other despite their pasts. I cannot wait to continue this series. I devoured the first six books/novellas in less than a week. I’ve got the next novella and full length book waiting to be read and I’m a little sad that I’ll have to wait until October for what comes next. Melody Grace definitely has a new fan in me and she will be on my must read list for sure.

Another amazing story by Melody Grace, the Beachwood Bay books never get old or repetitive. I loved that this was not only the story of Garrett and Carina, it was also the story of Garrett become a better man and Carina finding her voice.

Carina wants perfection; however, once she has it, she starts to question everything in her life. She soon realizes that perfection isn't all that its cracked up to be and escapes to the one sanctuary that she knows of, Beachwood Bay. However, upon arrival she immediately encounters Garrett and we all know that there is tension thick as pea soup laying between them. They butt heads, there personalities are so similar and they don't even realize it. Eventually their broken hearts form a whole and they are able to find a sanctuary in each other.

If you enjoy yelling at your characters through your Kindle, giggling at silly moments, and tearing up at happy endings, this a must read for you!

I’ve been a fan of Melody Grace and her Beachwood Bay series ever since the first book came out and I’ve loved each installment ever since. Unconditional, while not my favorite of the series, is just as interesting, filled with romance and character growth and written with Grace’s captivating writing style. Why didn’t I love this one as much as the others? It has more to do with how I didn’t really like the main character, Carina. It took me a very long time for warm up to her and I often don’t enjoy books as much when I can’t connect or when I don’t like the MC. That’s not to say that she didn’t grow on me and that it took away from the story, because her character fits with the story progression, but because I personally didn’t like her, that’s what made it an okay read for me.

Carina is Juliet’s (from Unbreakable) sister, and not a very good one at that. You get to see her life now and how she views the world, and I have to say, I didn’t care for it. She’s very selfish, narrow-minded, and pretty mean, too. I definitely didn’t like how she was always on her father’s side growing up, and if you knew about their past, you’d understand (it gets explained somewhat in the book as well as the first book). While I didn’t like the situation she was in and wanted better for her, she did bring it on herself. With that said, I loved how Grace took a very unlikable character and turned her around into someone I could at least tolerate. You’ll see how she slowly learns the error of her ways and her thinking, and how she bridges those gaps with her sister. I definitely liked her more towards the end and I’m happy with how she turned out. She grew a lot as an individual and I really enjoyed her romance with Garrett.
