To be very honest it took me a LONG time to read this book. It wasn't well written. There was grammer and spelling problems throughout the book that made it hard to read. I almost put it down, but I promised to read and give a review. There was a lot of bad language. I don't mind a little bit of language but it was not appropriate to use so much. The story could have gone without so much. In my opinion, I would not let my teen read this book because of it. This book would more geared to more mature adults then for teens. The plot was very similar to all the over vampire stories out there.
This book ended up with "to be continued". Really? This book does not make me want to continue on with the rest of the series. In my opinion, it isn't worth the money you would spend buying it. I am sorry for such a negative review.
When I started this story, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it. It was pretty much "fact gathering" on our heroine. Not long and drawn out, just giving you the bare bones about her life up to the point where the real story begins. By page 36 I was hooked and telling my family to "SHOOSH I'M READING HERE!!!!"
For those who are a little picky about editing... there are a couple of typo's. You'll notice it, but it doesn't detract from anything and you'll only sell yourself short if you let that stop you from investing your time in this book.
I didn't hold out horribly high hopes for this book when I ordered it, but I am always up for trying out new authors who are giving it a go. This has occassionally backfired on me... SEVERELY! But this book made up for ALL THOSE TIMES! I absolutely LOVE every character. It was everything a story should be. Hilarious in so many ways (especially if you are southern or have ever met a southern woman and seen her mad!) incredibly touching at times, edge of your seat 'holy crap whats gonna happen next' in a few parts... it was amazing.
I really don't know what else to say other than you shouldn't have even gotten this far reading my review, you've wasted time reading this when you should have been reading Undead Heart. Go forth and order. You won't regret it!
