Warm, but not overly so. Perfect for retaining heat on those cold days!
The quality of these pants are excellent, a top quality sewing job, and the size fits perfectly.
They have a nice & extra wide waist band (2 full inches), with a sewn in tie.
I always look for sweat pants with the wide waist band, they just seam to be made better, and the wider width really helps with keeping them up, and in place when active.
I also really like the open bottom legs, rather than an elastic band cuff.
The fit is great, and I love how loose they feel, a very relaxed fit, they're somewhat baggy, but not overly so, and the fleece inside is super soft feeling on your legs. They hang really well on you, just very nice fitting sweat pants.
They are warm, but not a heavy material at all, it's really quite light feeling.
Just great for that cold day, of around the house work, or just lounging around.
I wear then for running out on errands, and even when guests stop by.
All around, very nice looking sweat pants!
So the short of it is, they're made very well, and look equally nice.
They seam to be made to last a very long time, so equally tough.
High quality, excellent sewing, great fit, made to last, everything you'd want!
I've bought 4 pair and am very happy with all of them.
Not to many colors to choose from, but enough (more would be nice).
The Carbon Heather color is extremely nice looking, and my favorite!
Update......almost a year and a half later, these pants are still as good as new. I can not believe how well they held up. these are sweatpants. I guess they cost a lot because they are made better. I wear sweats over my workout clothes 3 times per week. So I have time to work out during lunch break. I get an hour, and I don't want to spend that changing clothes. I can throw these on over gym shorts and go to work, then go work out at lunch. My office has a pretty casual dress code as most of our work is on the phone and email. But these are much nicer looking than ordinary sweats.
They also have another line of clothing that is designed for cold weather activities. This line also helps perspiration evaporate from your body. However, the thicker material also helps your body retain heat. Interestingly, helping sweat evaporate quickly is just as important during cold weather as it is during hot weather. Some of the clothing in the cold gear series are designed to be work together. For the inner layer, usually you will wear one of their moisture-wicking long sleeve shirt. These usually have a tight fit. And over that, you wear some sort of wind shell.
The fleece pants that are the subject of this review belong to their all-weather line of clothes. Basically, they can be worn as long as the temperature is not hot. The inner material is fleece, however, the outside has a smoother and shinier look than your old sweatpants. The bottom is not banded. And the fit seems to be slightly loose. It has a more casual appearance and fit than your traditional sweatpants.
These are my favorite pair of workout pants. They are expensive, but so far, I have not found a better alternative. Also, they are probably best for indoor workouts. They are not designed to be wind resistant.
Over the years, I have tried many line of workout wear. I started out with Nike's Dri-Fit line. Nike's workout clothes are also well-made. But they are even more expensive than the Under Armour brand. A typical Nike Dri-Fit T-Shirt will cost atleaast $30. The same style in Under Armour would be a few dollars cheaper. Please keep in mind that we are not talking about the Nikes that you can buy at the various shoe retailers. We're comparing the Under Armours to Nike's more serious line of clothing.
I have been pleased with the Under Armours. The only thing about them that I'm not happy with is that they do not make those super sexy athletic wear for the girls. Maybe that's why the UAs are not as popular with women. Your friend and humble reviewer, Citan, is a guy. But he does appreciate his eye candy at the gym once in a while. And sadly, the UA line does not contribute to that passion.
I can recommend these sweatpants for just about any indoor workout. They are superior to those old, grey sweatpants that you've been wearing. C'mon, be kind to yourself. Ditch those old sweats and upgrade to these.
Christmas. I did alot of research and found these and he absolutely loves them. Be aware that the outside fabric is not cotton knit like most sweatpants but they are very fleecy and cozy on the inside. Buying a second pair for him now. HIGHLY recommend.
