My primary use for this bag is for everyday gym use. I got sick of carrying around a duffel, it was always falling off my shoulder and banging into my hip, it seemed like having a purse (I'm a guy). A backpack is so much more convenient, I have both of my arms free and I don't have to constantly struggle to keep it on my shoulder. The only thing I don't like about a backpack is it doesn't sit standing up on a bench, it kind of falls over and makes things more difficult to put into than a duffel.
It has a compartment in the very bottom for shoes, but I've found myself rarely using this and just putting my shoes in the main compartment. It was just easier to get them in, they were a little snug in the bottom one. The middle compartment has a couple smaller pockets inside which are great for my wallet and phone, and any other mid size accessories. The smallest compartment is good for headphones, a lock, etc. And obviously the two side pockets are great for water bottles.
I also use it to carry around tennis rackets, but the handles do stick out of the top. I've used it as a personal item on airplanes and it is a good size, it fits in front of the seat in front of you and holds whatever you need to travel with. I use it on vacations to take to the beach, it has enough different compartments that I can put a wet swimsuit in one and not worry about it getting everything else all wet.

There is a small but annoying design flaw though - there's a rigid back protector which runs the full height of the rucksack. This is fine when worn, but it causes the backpack to fall over when it's put on a flat surface. OK, not the end of the world, but it's amazing how annoying it is to have to hold the bag with one hand whilst stuffing anything into it, let alone the fact you have to balance it against a wall, table, your legs to stop it falling flat and tripping someone up!

I only have 2 criticisms with this bag. The small front pocket needs a different type of zipped opening because the zip reaches all the way around the pocket to the very bottom on each side which means once fully open, everything falls out. This could have been easily solved with a shorter zip, or a slight redesign. The other problem is the colour. I ordered the "Midnight Navy / Graphite / Silver" and it's much lighter than the photos lead you to believe. I wouldn't even call the blue 'navy', and the 'silver' is just a light grey. I needed to start using the bag straight away, otherwise the colours were enough away from the product images that I'd have returned it.

The bottle holders on this bag don't last more than 2-4 months... and it's not a "one-off" faulty bag as this is the 2nd one we've had of this style (having had the first replaced after complaining). My other son has a different style Under Armour bag that has 1 bottle holder and that bottle holder has lasted for over two years.... it's clearly made of better quality netting. The bag itself is great but students really need to have a bottle holder and given the cost of this bag I think it's pretty appalling - not to mention unenvironmental - to have to replace a bag every 6-9 months because the bottle holders are broken. (I've tried repairing them with cotton, elastic, all sorts and it just doesn't work!)

A good amount of storage for my 15 inch laptop, folder of paperwork collection of various charging cables etc, a change of clothes & trainers.
Easy to travel with and the backpack straps are sufficiently large, although I use the top handle as much as the shoulder straps. No problems with stitching and on the odd occasion when it's been raining the contents have been dry.
I like the small zipped pocket at the front, which is suitable for earphones & pain relief etc, yet too easily accessible for wallet / keys.
Bottom section is great for damp / dirty clothes, not quite large enough to put a pair of trainers in.
The internals are well proportioned & separated, and I like the detail for the 'laptop slot' which keeps the bottom of the laptop off the laptop away from the ground.
The only problem I have is the backpack isn't able to stand up and naturally falls onto it's face.which is a little annoying, but otherwise a great piece of kit.
