Top Customer Reviews
As all reviews, this is my opinion and can vary from other people's experience. First off, as a sock it's great. I look at comfort and fit and for a crew sock to keep it's form while in motion. Additionally. I was looking for something to keep my feet warm during the cold season whether wearing running shoes, training shoes or boots. It meets all these basic expectations of mine. Visually it's a great looking sock and I do have 3 pairs of these.
However, where this sock falls short for me was the moisture wicking and short term durability. Time will tell on whether this sock meets my long term durability in avoiding snags, tears and holes. Depending on whether I"m wearing well-ventilated shoes such as my running shoes or my leather boots. the sock holds more moisture than I would like it to especially with the boots. Now, I've always worn Nike Dri-Fit socks and Puma socks, so I only have those to compare it to. The sock does wick moisture but it could be better, after a long active day both my feet and socks feel damp. Even when the I remove the sock and hang at the edge of my basket to dry, I check back later finding that it's still a bit damp. So I'm just a bit disappointed in that.
Regarding short term durability, picture speaks a thousand words and have posted a picture with this review. This is only after one wash and two days of usage. Notice that the cotton begins to fray a little at the heal , again, the way I run or walk may differ from your normal wear areas. But for a brand new sock, this was disappointing to me to already see this type of wear relative to the other socks I've owned. Now, it doesn't mean this has poor long term durability as time can only tell, but it is discouraging for me.
Again, just my 2 cents, I sure hope this helps. For the price I paid for these socks I expected a bit more. Luckily, I found myself a few pairs at a local Marshalls that was selling these for nearly half the price offered here.
However, we're talking about a sock here and it does meet my basic needs. So I do recommend it but can only give it 4 stars.
