These are really comfortable and even when stretched out to fit, they do not feel too tight. Just good and snug. Thicker than a dress sock, but thinner than an old school 100% cotton tube sock.
The Bad: Size.
I bought the "Large" size which is advertised as "9-12.5". I wear a size 9 shoe (US Mens) and these socks are almost a "No-Show", not a true low cut. These are advertised as "Low-Cut" but they barely cover my ankles when fully stretched out. I think this may be why other reviews mention the toes wearing out fast. They have to be stretched out the the maximum to fit properly.
If you have shoe size 10 or larger, these will definitely be too small to be called a "low cut" sock. If you want a "No Show", then maybe that's fine, but I did not order a "No Show" sock, I ordered a low cut sock, which is supposed to fit over the ankle. These do fit properly for now, but just barely. They have been thru the wash a couple times as I bought them just over a month ago.
Provided these socks hold up well thru their lifespan, based on the comfort alone I would purchase again. But I would get the XL size instead of the L.
What else to do? Amazon has everything. So in my searching I came across these socks. Not cotton, check. Name brand, check. Not ridiculously priced, check. And it certainly didn't hurt that it came in a pack bigger than 2 or 3. I guess if he won't wear them his sister will.
These socks are GREAT. They're not very thick, they're decently (but not overly) soft and the ridge is minimal. No more morning struggles. It does have a toe ridge but nothing bothersome. It's been several washes and they still have their shape, size, and minimal ridge. He's been wearing them to run and no foot complaints. Since they're name brand he doesn't try to wear his uncomfortable name brand socks just to have name brand. But they're comfy so no struggles. And they're cheaper than his previous socks, I think I hit the jackpot. And here I was worried about ordering socks I could feel first.

They feel a bit tighter than I'd like. I guess the benefit to that would be that they won't fall down in boots. I'm a size 10 and ordered the large. They look nice too.
