Link, Fritz, & Cirus has each lost love, family, & life. Which has taken its toll & they more than deserve a happy ever after.
I love the difference found in this story with a unique twist involving an alpha. I've searched long & hard for many years for stories with this alternative outcome for an alpha. I won't give away to many spoilers but I'm immensely pleased with Kiki's delivery of the very thing I search for.
I'm sure you'll love this triad of sexy men as they come through their trials & find love together.
This is a triple tie with my other top faves from, Kiki. Right along with The Onyx Dragons & Angus! I can't choose! Not when these are so good.
Link lost his family and his boyfriend due to an attack from the anti-shifter group, and Fritz has been there for him ever since. He knows there is a bond there, but with Link still mourning his loss, Fritz is unable to make a move. When Link decides to go to NYC to help Sibelius's group, Fritz goes with him. There they meet Crius, who we met in the Onyx dragon book (YAY!) and they all discover there is a mating bond between the three of them.
I love the progression of the overall story with the anti-shifter group, Protectors of Peace. It's all be ramping up to this, and I really liked the idea of this type of conflict for the shifters to overcome. And I loved Link, Fritz, and Crius together. I loved their connection, how they all kinda healed by being together, and I loved the pregnancy.
Highly recommended! I always recommend that people read the bear series, then the dragon series along with this one since the worlds are all kinda blending together - in this book more than any other since you'd want to know Crius' backstory before starting this one.
I CANNOT wait for what's next from Kiki, one of my favorite authors!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fritz is a wolf shifter and he is about as bad as Link. He knows Link is his mate yet for months they don't bond. Yet all the shifters around them knows they're mates. But Link isn't on board, he keeps giving off negative signals, and Fritz won't mate Link without his approval. It's an endless loop that keeps giving, on and on... Until Crius steps up. Then suddenly Link is all roses and sunshine and just knows he can let go and his guys will take care of him. Sorry, the change in Link was too much after this woe is me attitude. I'm surprised Fritz isn't more resentful, issues of not measuring up, being good enough, and all that negativity impacting their triad. But NO. That doesn't happen, either. Fritz is all sunshine and roses and so happy he is finally mated. All I can add is Crius has the patience of a saint.
From these shaky beginnings I'm to believe this is a solid mating willing to last. And the story didn't expand on the three species of shifters here and their cultural differences and expectations. Sorry, the characters took too much patience to tolerate. The guys didn't interest me at all. Read on Kindle Unlimited. - Dan's Wife
