Very interesting. However, there needs to be a revised version with the story updated based on what has been going on.

Great Book! Demonstrates the American Dream is possible (even with a few skeletons in the closet)!

A lot of suspense, a lot of corruption and a lot of greed from a family that we here in this area knew about but didn't know all the facts. Just another of the many greedy families who become millionaires off the people who just wanted to have a beer after a hard days work at the factory. Regular folks went home to small apartments, old homes, no homes while the Busch family went home to their mansions.

The story of the Busch family is disgusting. Yet it was what I "knew" anyway. I just felt so slimy reading in detail things I had known intuitively. My main negative reaction was around the involvement of SLU with the family. I had so loved Father Reinart! I had enjoyed the Student Union at SLU so many times. This is a "feelings-changer" of a book.

interesting read. Would have enjoyed more about the Grant's farm residence with more pics and the original Busch mansion at the brewery.

This book was very informational. Starting from the beginning and moving forward. I can see why the Busch family didn't like this publishing. Showed some not so favorable happenings but I believe it to be truthful and was told as things really happened. Not sugar coated. Very good book.

This is the book the family doesn't want you to read, but still keep an open mind and compare to Bitter Brew.
