So incredibly sweet. I purchased this over 5 years ago for my little boy when he was a baby. This has been my favorite baby company for years, and I just realized how well made and long lasting these toys are now that my baby daughter plays with them now, and they look just as they did when I first purchased them.
These types of toys are perfect for babies and toddlers, and also make the perfect gift. I couldn't find any information on Amazon about whether or not the coloring used is non-toxic, but the Under The Nile website give a little more in-depth description of the product: "NO Azo colorants, BPA, flame retardants, formaldehyde, fragrance, PVC or lead".
This is one of those toys I am going to keep forever because of how much my kids have used it, and I am happy to know that it will stay in great condition despite the constant use it's gotten for years. I can't recommend this set enough!
I love this fruit basket! I am trying to be very intentional about what products I am buying for my baby and have been so happy with this purchase!! I bought this via Amazon when my daughter was about 7 months old (three months ago) I want non-toxic, organic toys that she can put in her mouth as she chews on everything. I also want something she can use for many years to come. It will be so fun relating her toy fruit to the fruit at the grocery store and in the garden. How fabulous to have a toy that is organic, made in the U.S., is educational, promotes fine muscle coordination, and with parents help, promotes healthy eating habits. I am surprised by the reviews that say it is boring because it doesn't make any sound. I feel like most children are way too over stimulated by all the noise in our society, including the majority of toys for children. For children who are used to toys that make sound, these probably would seem boring. I prefer toys that are natural and stimulate a child's imagination. Along with this basket I bought the broccoli, strawberry, and corn. She loves to chew on them and has fallen asleep holding them in her hand. Very happy with this purchase and will continue to purchase products from Under the Nile.
I bought this fruit set for my two-year-old daughter for her to use with her Plan Toys stove and oven. I wasn't sure if the toys would be too big for her or if she'd be interested in them, but I was pretty sure the basket would be a big hit. She has enjoyed the set, though some of her older friends (4 years old) haven't been sure if the pieces are fruit or people. The basket has been great not only for these fruits but also for other play food that we have. It's a great option when going "shopping" in the house or just for carrying food around.
My daughter is familiar with the types of fruit in this set, and she likes having a variety of food options when playing with her kitchen.
I purchased this for a baby shower gift. The mother-to-be is a biodynamic farmer, so the responsibly sourced Organic cotton composition was important. Inside the basket I tucked Disney's Lullaby Album, which includes "When You Wish Upon A Star" and the overall gift was a BIG hit at the shower....nobody else thought to give the new mommy a lullaby cd!!! (She had onesies and blankies up the wazoo.....) Another important part of this Organic Cotton Multi Fruit Tote is it was made in America....no, not just American, but it was made in Milpitas, California, just a few hours drive from us! So, we have responsibly sourced Organic cotton, made in America, made in California, and just plain darling! Very happy with this purchase!
I love these. I buy them as add-on gifts for baby showers all the time, and always to rave reviews. People love that they're organic and soft cotton, so they're easy to care for. My co-worker's baby loved hers so much she got the whole set, and other co-workers who saw them also started buying them for showers. When my time comes, I'll definitely be putting them on my baby registry :)
I love this sweet little set of "organic" fruits😊 they are very soft, and well made. My six month old loves the colors and how soft they are on his gums, and I love the safe organic cotton and the fact that they are produced by "The 13 Villages Project", supplying villagers with free trade work to help lift them out of the poverty trap. A wonderful purchase all around!
I had been looking forward to ordering this for a long time for my daughter and I finally pulled the trigger...but was beyond disappointed that it arrived with only 2 pieces of fruit (the watermelon and banana). We are missing the pear and grapes. It's quite disappointing that no one noticed this, and now I guess I must go through the hassle of returning and possibly re-ordering. As cute as the complete set would be, not sure if it's worth the hassle.
