For numerous years she has been researching history's lost figures, primarily focusing on the women doctors who practiced their profession in Colorado before 1900. Doris wants to make sure these women and their stories are not lost.
Additionally, Doris has a passion for poetry, especially haiku. Her work in this area allows her to combine her passion for the haiku form and photography. Her books combine both with the hope that readers will delve deeper into what both mean to them.
Ms. McCraw is passionate about writing and speaking about her research. Historical Societies and History Podcasts are a source of joy for her to speak and listen to.
