The story is a good one it is just one of the main characters that ruined it for me. Probably due to me knowing some people like Edward. He didn't seem to change as the romance advanced he just expected his lover to change for him. I did enjoy some of characters from book one were also in this. The author has a talent in working previous characters to pop up in other books.

I love a good beach love story. Jamie is the son of the couple we met in Book 1 who sold the island to Dylan. He has come to the island for a bit to catch his breath and figure out what he wants to do now that he is no longer in the Marines. Edward is the fabulous wedding planner who works the events out at Sapphire Cay. These two have instant sparks and the story is old as time. A good read!

A perfect opposites attract story with really likable and interesting characters. The pairing of Edward, wedding planner extraordinaire and Jamie, injured marine, is just fabulous!

Like the first book Follow The Sun, this story is sweet and gentle without too much drama. There are some misunderstandings as both men read each other incorrectly and make assumptions obviously based on their past experiences (stereotyping for both of them) but largely the story focuses on the slow development of the relationship.

Edward is a wedding planner who arranges a lot of weddings on the island. He comes to the island for a week to arrange a wedding where he meets Jamie. Jamie has completed two tours in Afghanistan and been injured. He has returned to the island, where he was raised, to spend some time to himself so that he can sort out what he wants to do with the rest of his life.

It's lovely to see the Lucas and Dylan from the first book make appearances. They are supportive, such as the advise offered by Dylan "Just promise me one thing." He looked at Jamie and pointed toward his chest. "Trust this, yeah? And follow your heart." His eyes brightened. "Lucas taught me that."
Follow his heart. Jamie nodded. He could do that.
and of course he does so we get a wonderful happy ending!

Oh Thank you RJ and Meredith, that was great! I had previously complained in a review of one of RJ's other books about referring to a Marine as a Soldier. Having a Marine in our family, I have an issue with that. Picky, but it totally pulled me out of the last story. In this one, Jamie the Marine is called a Marine! In fact, Edward calls him a Soldier twice and Jamie corrects him! YEAH!!! It may be a small thing, I wouldn't have known honestly, if I didn't have a Marine in my family, but it was important to me, and I appreciate that it was done properly in this book!

So anyway, this was a sweet love story about two very different men. OCD wedding planner Edward, and damaged Marine Jamie. They meet, sparks fly in a bad way, then in a good way, sex is had, and we assume they get their happily ever after. It wasn't particulary deep or angsty, Jamie has issues but they are glossed over somewhat. Which is fine. It was a light fun read, set in a lovely place. I liked the first Sapphire Cay book, and I liked this one very much.

This is a wonderful follow up to Follow the Sun. Under the Sun follows Jamie the ex-Marin home to Sapphire Cay after being a way for a while where he meets his opposite Edward the wedding planner. This story shows how that you should never judge a book by its cover cause when you look beyond appearance you might just find opposits truly do attract.

This was a reasonably well-written book. Characters were interesting. But it was still rather thin gruel. Not much conflict, just two very different people falling in love almost at first sight with happily ever after.

Not much more. But it was a fairly good read, if not entirely satisfying.

Could an ex marine fall for the campest wedding planner ever? Apparently so. This was entertaining and whiled away a few hours on my holiday. The guy on the cover looks like Gok Wan. Jamie's parents owned an island (?) where he went back to to recuperate and met Gok, er sorry.... Edward who was planning a wedding at the hotel Jamie's parents used to own. They fall in love and shag like bunnies. Not great but not rubbish either. Again, I read a lot on my holiday and most of the stories rolled into one another. This was nothing spectacular.
