Sam is NOT your typical good girl. She's dealt with tragedy and heartbreak in more than one way. She isn't afraid to tell it like it is and wants to protect her heart at all costs.
I loved watching these two navigate new territory together. He wanted to be everything for Sam – her lover, protector, and provider. She had to learn to give up control. Both had to learn how to compromise.
When the truth about the last 5 years slaps Sam in the face, she's completely lost and broken. Slade has no idea what to do or how to help. Will he be able to support Sam, or will Sam's emotions ruin the best thing that has ever happened to her?
This was a great first in the series. I love all the characters and the plot keeps you guessing. There is no cheating. Slade is alpha male perfection! You have to read this series!
This is book one in the Undescribable Series.
This is Sam "Angel" and Slade's story.
Samantha-- Sam, has lost everything. Her father, her Mother so she moves with Jax to a new city after she graduates college. She thinks she is in love, but Jax is an ass plain and simple. And although it takes her a little bit to figure this out she does. He is a cheater and a manipulator. I didn't like him the moment he was introduced. Sam is amazing and strong, and has been through so much in her young life. But she is determined to live her life, she may be lonely, but she will carry on and live her life the best way she can.
Slade is a playboy, plain and simple he sleeps around with everyone and feels no remorse the next day, he is a love em and leave em kind of guy, that is until he hears her beautiful voice. Sam calls to find out where Jax is and he just happens to be at Slade's house. Then when Sam goes out on the town with her friends, she excuses herself to go and use the ladies room, and when she comes out of the stall she finds Slade and another woman in a compromising situation. Sam doesn't know who he is, Slade doesn't know who she is. He sees her and the first thing he thinks is she is an Angel. And he wants her. She sees him and the first thing she thinks is I want him.
Out of the bathroom and getting ready to both make their move, someone talks to them right before they are going to kiss, and introduces them and that is where it all changes. Sam knows who Slade is, he is known for his playboy tendencies and the things the does. Slade knows this is the woman who called him trying to find out where her boyfriend was. Does that stop him from pursing her? No that makes him want her that much more, yes Angel now :) has put up her walls and has refused to let him in, but Slade is not going to give up. He wants her.
Slade believed that he never wanted to fall in love, Sam/Angel doesn't want to fall in love. Can love happen so fast? Well it does with these two and it sets the pages on fire! Slade was half the man he was before he met Sam and he knows it. He gives her everything and more. He is a strong, alpha male who is use to getting whatever he wants whenever he wants it, but Sam is not that type of woman, she is strong and independent and determined to do things on her own, without ANYBODY standing in her way. What happens when these two worlds collide?
Be ready for an explosive, sexy, steamy read! These two are meant to be together, they are meant to live a life finally where they will both be happy.
I loved this book, Slade was such an amazing main Character, and it was so amazing to watch him turn into the man that he was suppose to be all along, it just took a good woman to bring it out of him. he is dominant, and sweet. He loves with his whole heart and then some, he gives Angel 100% of his Body, his heart, and his soul. He gives her whatever she needs, even when she thinks that she doesn't need it.
Sam/Angel I loved her as soon as she was introduced, I loved her feistiness and how she wanted to always do everything on her own. She didn't want anyone dictating how she should or would live her life. I wanted to ring her neck a couple of times, and say to her What is wrong with you? But I honestly understood why she was the way she was. And she had been hurt so many times, and had been left by the people who are suppose to never leave you. So she was damaged, her heart was not whole. So she did the only thing she knew how to survive and that was to put up walls to protect herself so nobody could get it and hurt her.
I cannot wait to read the next book in this Series, I know with the way these two light up the pages and how stubborn that they both are that I am going to be in for the ride of my life.
Thank you Shantel for a beautiful story, about love and life, and what happens when life gives you what you don't deserve, but you fight back and get what you should have had all along. <3
1. I am a sucker for a successful, gorgeous, bad-boy hero who falls for the girl and does a complete 180° life changing turn around.
2. I also love to see the guy fall first and have to convince the girl to fall.
This story has it all.
1. Words are all wrong. Things like "rod iron table and chairs" and "never had even one, little lone three......" . Almost like a voice-to-text problem, but should have been fixed with editing.
2. Verb tenses jump all around, sometimes in one sentence. Often in single paragraphs. It is a constant problem and everywhere in the book.
It is just badly written and edited.
It's just got everything I love in a contemporary romance, but I could barely get through it.
