WOW! Undone turned out being a pretty good read! I had no idea what to expect going into it. Honestly, I don't even remember buying the book. I just saw it on my kindle, opened it up AND. DID. NOT. STOP. reading until I was completely finish! I literally sat in one spot, glued to my kindle the entire time.

Undone happens to be a teacher/student romance story. MY FAVORITE! I had no idea! Maybe at one point I did, but I must have forgot. What makes this story stand out, and why I liked it so much is a few things...

*Not only is the plot very well developed, but R.E. Hunter did a great job with all of the characters, including the side ones. That seems to be a hard thing to accomplish with this theme, in my opinion. I liked being inside the classroom, seeing the amount school work, watching the budding friendships and trying to balance it all. It felt realistic to me.

*The author gave time to develop an actual relationship before finding out about the professor part. That's another thing that tends to be difficult with this theme for some reason. Hell, I was totally invested in the story and that part hit me. Talk about surprise! After it was discovered, the characters had to find a happy medium and work to keep it professional. HUGE points in my book! Why do authors have the lust induced relationship in the first few pages? I cannot stand that.

*There was no jumping into sex in the first chapter. I. Love. That. It wasn't early on either like many student/teacher books I've read. Extra points in my book! The chemistry burns right off the pages and I was secretly hoping (DYING) for it to happen sooner, but I am super happy it didn't. The tension bubbles until they finally snap, and it's hot!

R.E. Hunter's debut novel, Undone, hardly feels like that of a new author. Rather, Hunter's ability to create such beautiful and likable characters with such depth that you feel like you truly know the characters and feel what they're feeling is a wonderful thing.

Embry and Luke have a chance run in but as with most romance stories there's that crazy insta-attraction that neither can deny. Unfortunately there's a few rather large obstacles in their way creating a forbidden romance that neither Embry (how cool is her name?) nor Luke find the desire to ignore.

Their love and care for each other is both sweet, sexy and incredibly steamy. While this book does end in a major cliffhanger, I commend Ms Hunter on a fantastic story that I can't wait to see the end of!

My thoughts on Undone by R.E. Hunter 4.5 stars
R.E. Hunter really shot out the gate with her first novel. When I first read the prologue I was hooked already! The book was well written. The characters could hold their own. They were very well described and she drew you into their lives like you knew them. I think that is my favorite parts to her writing style.
The story centers around Embry and Luke. Who basically had a chance run in with each other. (several times!) It was instant attraction. The way the story is written it makes you feel every emotion they have together. And believe me the really do belong together.Just when things were going to good we find out Luke has a secret from his past that comes out leaving Embry and Luke dealing with how to work everything out together.
I really enjoyed this book. But the last chapter left me feeling like I was going to go crazy. Crazy waiting. Crazy to know what happens. Crazy Cliffhanger. Well you get my point. I would suggest this book who like to read a book that is packed with emotions, and who love a good cliffhanger. I can't wait for book two, trust me it can't come fast enough.

Hooked! That is probably the only word to describe how I felt when I started reading this debut novel. Not normally a fan of the teacher/student love story, this one grabbed my attention from the very first page and had me enthralled until the very last word. And may I add when I read the last two words of the book I gasped in surprise at the cliff hanger that I never saw coming! The struggle that Bree faced throughout the book with Luke was one that came across extremely realistic to me, the author could have gone the cliche route and had them together regardless of them being professor and student, but the fact that Bree struggled with her feelings once Luke became her professor and her trying to move on from him, made me love the book even more. I could feel her emotions through the words the author used. My heart broke for Bree, I wanted her to throw caution to the wind and have a relationship with Luke. Even with all of his sketchy behavior, I was still routing for them to be together, that is until that last day I'm her professors office when she discovers a truth that obliterated everything she thought she knew and felt about Luke. I would have reacted the same way being in that situation. I would have felt those emotions, I did actually feel them while reading. I loved that this book took place on Long Island where I was born and raised and how realistic everything was with the places that the plot took the characters too. So often authors aren't authentic to their location but this one was true to life. I cannot wait, and I literally cannot I wish the next book was being released tomorrow because I need to know what happens next. This book is a must read for all it is that great! Fantastic job to the author on her first book!!!!!
