You need to read the Corp Security series first..if you want to truly understand, although it can be read as a standalone. But trust me and read this series first!
Cohen is all grown up and so is his Dani-girl! I love the way you feel like you know the whole family in these stories and this just adds icing to the cake!
Cohen and Dani have been destined to be together from the time they were little. But there was an age difference that Cohen could not pursue, but now...look out cause age is no longer a factor. Dani has loved Cohen all her life and now she intends to get her man!
I love how Axel, her Dad, is with her and that she calls him Daddy! All of the Corp Security men are alpha males and I love that! Sway, yes Sway is back and is hilarious as always! It was great to read about them after years and see that they still love their women the same!
Will Cohen and Dani get their HEA? What obstacles will come their way? Read this and find out, but please read the Corp Security Series first, it means so much more when you do! It's great to follow the family and now their kids have a story, I feel like I know them. That's what Harper Sloan does in her novels, introduces you to a family you will love and can't get enough of !!!
After throroughly enjoying the Corps Security series, I'm sure that I don't have to tell you how excited I was for the Hope Town series to begin. The same characters as parents with children all grown up and finding love on their own. Harper did all of us a solid and started the story with Dani and Cohen's story.
Dani grows up much as you would imagine Axel Reid's daughter growing up. Sheltered, protected and pretty unhappy about it. Cohen goes into the military and is gone for long stretches of time. He manages to keep Dani at arms length for as long as possible but eventually, the sexual tension wins out.
This book is HOT. Some of the sex scenes were so graphic and fantastic I could barely contain myself. Definitely not a clean read Great introduction of new characters and reintroduction to old characters including the main characters of the Corps Security series.
Harper Sloan has herself a winner here. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of her books and this one was definitely no exception.
Dani has loved Cohen since as far as she can remember but Cohen has always kept Dani within the friend zone, never taking the step towards anything more. Cohen has been there to save the day on more than one occasion since he is the only man her overprotective father will allow near her besides her brother and best friend Liam.
All bets are off after Dani becomes sick and Cohen comes to take care of her while her parents are away. Dani let's some secrets out while talking in her drug induced sleep that changes things between the two.
This one hot and steamy read. That boy Cohen...oh my! With the cast of Corps and Sway...this was fabulous read. Fans of the series will not be disappointed.
