By: Nerys Leigh
An Unexpected Groom is the fourth book in Escape to the West series. I really loved this story . The author drew me in at the first and I was hooked . Leigh did not disappoint me . This is a very sweet ,funny, inspirational, and romance story. The author kept you guessing about the ending. The characters were so alive. Louise was going to California to marry a man she had not seen or did not really know. She knew that he was a young accountant for a bank. Jesse had been keeping a secret from Louise. What will she do when she finds out the secret that Jesse has been holding out on. I laughed and laughed while reading An Unexpected Groom.
I received a complimentary ARC , but was not told that I had to give a positive review.
There's so much I want to say about the themes in this novel, but to do so would reveal too much of the secret that one of the main characters is keeping.
The characters are so vivid, you feel as though you know them by the end of the book. And you feel as though you really, really want scones. Ok, that may just be me. Just an idea? Companion cookbook. Asking for a friend.
This entire series is one to treasure and re-read.
6 stars, you just can't see the extra star.
I have enjoyed Miss Leigh's writing and will continue to recommend it. I'm not usually a fan of Mail Order Bride romances but I'm glad I tried Book 1. Now I'm hooked.
