Leah’s best friend Carly has invited her to town after Leah has had a bad couple of years. Cedarville is an idyllic small town where everyone is welcome and “everyone knows everyone else and people were nice, like really nice. Almost nauseatingly so.” (Sounds like a great place to live).
Brandon is the acting police chief and is Carly’s cousin and he is the first person to greet Leah when she comes to town. “How come I never knew you had a hot male cousin?” Leah asks Carly.
Leah joins Carly and Melanie in running a dance studio and she is hoping to move on from her past. She has come to Cedarville for a fresh start, but unfortunately her past catches up to her for a bit and she must rely on others to help her through.
This story has it all. Inta-love, a little suspense, a lot of great banter between friends (I’m so grateful I have a similar group of friends in my life) and characters that I just know are going to have great stories also.
The Cedarville Series reminds me of a Jill Shalvis or Marie Force series. The small town romance, the recurring characters, the desire to get to know everyone in town. I would classify these as “beach reads” for the summer because they are easy and breezy. This is definitely a series that I would recommend to my mom (as long as she skipped through the sexy parts...hehe)
Leah is coming to Cedarville for a fresh start. Her family had a bad break that she wasnt involved in but ended up suffering from. She losts friends, family, and her job because of a mistake she didnt have anything to do with.
Brandon, is acting Police Chief, single, and Leah's new roommate's cousin. He meets Leah on her first night in town. He also has to question her almost immediately about a break in. Nice first impression to someone you find attractive, huh? Excuse me Miss, did you break in to that store on your way into town? Yea I didnt think Leah would be as understanding as she was.
These two are pushed together when things begin happening in this small town. Brandon is pushed to the limit of his skill and knowledge in the force.
Leah realizes she was brought to this town to find her future. She and Brandon really connect. I loved the chemistry between them and their friends. This group was very connected in every way and really into each others business.
Bree sets us up with a good start to the next book. She leaves us wondering what will happen with the remaining friends and their hearts.
Leah Gibson is a woman who has had some bad luck with her family. When her friend offers her a job in a new town, she takes it. A new start for her, no one knows her there. When a break-in happens in town, she is questioned by the acting chief of police. What she wasn't expecting was for him to be so sexy and turned on by him. She is not looking for a relationship as she had bad luck with them in the past. Will she be able to find herself here? Will she find what she was most least expecting, love? What will happen when her current life is confront by her previous life?
Brandon is the acting police chief of a small town. He had been dog sitting for his cousin the night he met her. When things start happening to her, will he be able to protect her? Will he convince her to give them a chance? What will he do with her previous life? Will he convince her to trust him with her life and heart?
Leah and Brandon's story is one of finding oneself and learning to trust. Their story is one where they will take you on their journey and wanting to see what happens. Their actions will have you turning page after page. What will fate have in store for them? Will they learn to trust each other with their lives and hearts?
This is my first read by Bree Kraemer. Bree lives in Ohio with her husband and three children. She writes her stories with either a lot of hot steamy sex or sometimes a little. This story is a page turner and will keep you reading until the last page. You will want to find out what happens with them. I highly suggest this story as I know you will enjoy it as much as I have.
