Brave and patriotic woman, who was not treated well by our idiot security agencies. Who knows, the attack in France that just happened might have been prevented if this woman had been helped instead of treated with stupid indifference.
Very interesting read. Now that her cover is blown, she should be invited to the White House for a medal.

I grew up just a few miles from where this alert women lived. I now know her daughter who was a young girl at the time who was a target of extream Muslim ideology. Terrorist can hit small town America as well. This is a book that shows how our goverment is behind the curve on identifing threats to us. This is a good read and mind boggling...

I remember hearing about this woman on NBC news one night some time after the 9/11 attacks. I thought she was really cool for what she did and wished I too could do what she was doing! I am a geek, and a patriot and this book brings all those things together into one book. I could not stop reading this book from beginning to end, and once it was done it was the type of book I wished would not end. Now I wish I could find similar things to read.

Flawed and Disappointing

While I don't wish to take anything away from Mrs. Rossmiller's sense of patriotism and wished more citizens would get as involved, I found the book not only self-serving, but also riddled with factual errors. Despite promotional flyleaf comments from luminaries like Woolsey, Mrs. Rossmiller most certainly did NOT pioneer the field of cyber counterintelligence or cyber counterterrorism - to leave the reader thinking so is an insult to hundreds, if not thousands, who have been labored tirelessly in this field for almost two decades. The only difference is they've labored (and still do) in silence. The FBI, Secret Service, and all branches of the military had much more vision that she realizes. Secondly, for someone who paints a picture she was the victim of a government that showed no regard for her security concerns, one has to wonder why she went out of her way to promote herself by granting interviews, going on the speaking circuit, and writing this book. Thirdly, she doesn't realize the urgency and effort put into the Anderson investigation once it hit Army radar; to insinuate it would go into a black hole at the Pentagon is just absurd. She states as fact the Army wanted to pursue the death penalty. Incorrect. The media speculated the Army could (underscored) seek the death penalty for his actions, but truth is the Army never commented on it and never had any intention of seeking the death penalty. Surely with Mrs. Rossmiller's passion for law, she would have recognized it never came close to the threshold for a capital case. Finally, Anderson was never charged with "attempted espionage." To get this wrong is inexcusable for someone educated the least little bit in law and even vaguely with national security statutes. He was charged with several specifications of Attempting to Aid the Enemy (charges brought under the attempt provision, Article 80), and one general article of bringing discredit and dishonor to the Army. An exact copy of the charges and specifications is readily available on the web for anyone who takes a couple minutes to search for it - it's been there since the trial in 2004, and it's still there. Had Mrs. Rossmiller stuck with writing about what she knows, it would have been a credible read - but she doesn't let a few facts get in the way of a good story.
