A loving hardworking single mom, who's a Bitch to every man in her life and any man she meets.
A Sexy single Veterinarian who just moved in next door and has his sights on Justine.
Meet a recipe for disaster!!
This book is a Must Read!! I loved everything about this book!!! Leigh Lennon is the next Best Author!!!
Nick Wallace is a single dad to Emma and a veterinarian who has come to work with his son-in-law and daughter at their practice. When he moves in next door to Justine sparks fly right away and soon the two are more than just neighbors.
But as good as things are for them, they each have their families to contend with and all the drama that comes along with them. When Nick and Justine hit a rough patch will they find their way through it or will the fast paced nature of their relationship catch up with them?
I enjoyed this book but at times I felt as though the dialogue seemed to forced and not natural. Other than that I did enjoy the story line.
Justine was a tough mom and because of that Rafe took her kids away. But as we go along in the story we learn so much more about Rafe and Justine's marriage that really leaves you wondering who left who.
Nick seems like a great guy but we get a small glimpse of his temper when he and Justine are out for dinner when he explodes on someone. His daughter Emma is definitely a little odd and I really did not like the way that she treated Justine's kids. Nick was intense for sure but everything seemed good until that one moment when he flies off the handle in a manner that was so uncalled for.
Yet there is so much more at stake for Justine and Nick when secrets are revealed and Nick uses one to hurt Justine. But like Justine I was so confused on why nobody told her earlier as I know it would have hurt her in the past but she did truly deserve to know at the time.
I was definitely not expecting the "big" twist and I was pretty mad as I knew how hurt Justine would have been not getting to say she was sorry.
I was pretty mad at Nick for running when things got hard and how both almost gave up.
Justine is one tough woman. She’s at a crossroads in her life as her children have moved to live with their father. Lonely and hurting, she finds solace in her new neighbor. Nick has recently arrived in Seattle to be closer to his daughter. He wasn’t expecting to find the love of his life living right next door. Justine doesn’t hide the true her from him and he is more than willing to embrace all that makes her unique, including her acerbic personality.
This couple recognize each other for their other half pretty quickly. Everything that follows is their struggle to maintain what they have when life turns harsh. I struggled with Justine’s character initially but was quickly able to see all that was good in her through Nick’s eyes. Nick was a great guy, despite his fear of revealing that part of himself that might cause her to run the other way.
This is this author’s first published book, and while there were times she tells us the story rather than allowing us to experience it, I felt she did an exceptional job of showcasing how friends, family and the love of the right person can strengthen a person’s life.

Justine Hernandez is a forty-something, single mother of two, who apologizes to no one. She leads her life the way she believes it needs to be lived- without compromise. She speaks her mind without reservation and fortunately for her, the new hot next-door neighbor wants her any way he can get her.
I consumed this debut in a matter of hours. There were a lot of characters in this story and at times it took me awhile to remember them all. There were several surprisingly funny and heartbreaking moments. One in particular made me ugly cry.
“Unfiltered” is a wonderful, contemporary romance book filled with steamy scenes, a lot of crazy banter, and some of the most memorable characters I’ve encountered in romance books. Don’t forget the box of tissues.
