I must admit that I purchased this blu-ray because of my passion for (and fascination with) Alain's long-time partner in life and art, Natasha Schneider. From the moment I heard her voice over the speakers of a rival label's A&R guy in 1978, I was obsessed with learning more about her. What a special musical talent..and what a special human being. When got this blu-ray, I knew I'd be fascinated with the content, but I figured it would be some super-low budget, 'patch-work' home movie thing. INCORRECTO! Absolutely beautiful filmmaking and a stirring tribute to the uniquely special 'soul mate' connection between Alain and Natasha (not to MENTION between Alain and his country of origin). The music, of course, is fab, and the words of Josh Homme and ESPECIALLY the late Chris Cornell are truly profound. Highly recommended!

Been a massive fan of Alain and his music for many years now. Gob smacked when he responded to an email many years ago when I was looking for a hard to find recording, telling me he would have a look himself and ask Jack (Irons!) also. Just hoping that he will appear over in the UK soon as would be great to hear those Eleven songs again, as well as his more recent recording of course. When this was advertised I spent ages trying to see it, at the cinema or elsewhere, with no luck. Then had some contact for a possible DVD copy direct from overseas - so very pleased to see this available. Delivery time was listed as a month (yes, a month) but it actually came in less than two weeks. Excellent documentary, with great input from many of his cohorts/friends, at times very moving. Of course, made all the more poignant from his long-time but now sadly departed friend Chris Cornell. If you are a fan, watch it. If you are not, then watch it and become a fan. A truly remarkable man with an unstoppable music outpouring - long may he continue.
