I think I wanted to strangle Owen. He was too much with all his back and forth and mind games. I think he truly cared for Ally, but he was so weak and too selfish to just be with her. Then that total jerk move at the end, I was so mad at him. I knew what he was doing but it made me want to reach through my Kindle and seriously hit the guy! I just needed him to get his act together and go after his girl.
Then there was Ally, I really liked her, I like her in the head conversations, trying to talk herself into and out of things. I get why she wanted to believe in Owen so much, and why she finally made the choice to take care of herself. I found myself cheering for her, and really wanting her to have her happy ending.
It was all the angst with the work drama and the back and forth that kept me from giving it a 5 rating, I understood it, but it was a little much, however I am immediately ordering the second book, that ending was wonderful and I can't wait to see what happens with these two.
I'm not good at leaving reviews but I will say this..... I've read A LOT of books and this is definitely in my top 5!!!
