I looked around at other options and in the end decided to pay the money to get exactly what i needed.
I have not tried many of the attachments just the cobweb duster. My cleaning lady broke one of the extension pieces - Unger sent me replacements free of charge - nice.
I just moved into a house, and I saw that the previous owner or renter had left some bulbs for me to replace. Unfortunately, the ceilings are 26 feet tall and I have an 8 foot ladder. I proceeding to buy a telescoping ladder but it is not intended for indoor use. So I had two options: 1) Pay someone to put up 18 light bulbs or 2) Do it myself.
This is a lightweight and comfortable extension pole to handle overhead. I have had other extension poles to change lights in the past, but most of the lesser quality extension poles were not quite straight or imbalanced for lightbulb work. In fact, one was so imbalanced the bulb fell to the floor.
Using a ladder in conjunction with the Flood Changer, I was able to change my light bulbs easily. First of all, it's straight. Next it is sturdy and stable. There is one joint that allows the pole to open to full extension. The tip of the pole is removable for other attachments. The spring loaded design of the Flood Changer allows a seamless transition.
Adjusting the appropriate length is rather easy to do, though I wouldn't recommend doing it on the fly. I'm looking forward to other applications such as cleaning windows, for example.
I'm very pleased with the Unger extension pole. It's easy to use.
Two thumbs up.
I also purchased the ceiling fan attachment and cobweb duster, both worked out really quite perfectly to get the job done.
I can also use it to dust the baseboards a bit without getting on the floor. A nice bonus application.
The pole is pretty sturdy, it is certainly strong enough to do what it is supposed to do. As stable as an 18 foot pole might be if you have to consider the extensions, light weights for sliding poles, etc.

attach to this tool.

It is a good extension pole, but it was longer than what I had wanted. Would recommend if you are looking for long extension pole.Published 27 days ago by Barb
well not much to say great construction and does job as expected. Little hard to control when fully extended due to length but works perfect. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Steve Kraemer
Love this. Extends to the height I need. I use it with the cobweb thingy (which I received damaged but still works) and the window cleaner/squeegee. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Jonesie
sturdy and easy to adjust, a lot better than the easier-to-find light duty (blue) polePublished 8 months ago by John B.
