The pump sits at the bottom of a 5 gallon corny keg with the top off filled halfway with beer line cleaner solution. The liquid line going up to the tap is then ran back to the liquid output line (now the return line) on the corny keg. Voila! Cheap and simple beer line/tap cleaner. I let this go for 15 minutes per tap and it does a wonder job.
Afterwards I rinse the lines with a small amount of water and finally Star San.
Previously I had tried a smaller pump that I use for recirculating water for cheese making and sous vide but it was not powerful enough to push the liquid up even a couple of feet. This pump has just enough power to get a good flow going.
The quality seems to be on par with any aquarium stuff I have bought in the past. I hope it get a chance to finely use it.
