About the Author
Sarah Northwood is a multi-talented author, who not only writes poetry but is a dab hand at writing music too. Her love and passion for poetry is never more prominent than in her first children's poem book, "Unicorns are real and other cool poems." She enjoys writing stories for children and adults. In particular she's a fan of romance, rhyme, poetry and composing songs. She is also a talented pianist. --This text refers to the paperback edition.

(The Fairy Ring)
The book is full of beautiful stories and poems depicting imaginary lands and creatures. Children can enter this 'dreamland' to meet some fairies, unicorns and mermaids (even those who can't swim!). They can enter this magical world, "the city of Boo'k in the land of A-Tick", like one of the protagonists, Zoe, did. Deep in this fantasy world, they can even have a 'For Real Fairy' for themselves, or meet a laughing dragon who is not dangerous at all!
But apart from boosting imagination, the book tackles some universal problems children can encounter, like school problems, even school bullying, and also shows them the power of friendship and courage.
It's an exceptional book, worth recommending to children (even those quite grown up ;))

(All of the Magic)
I also love the life lessons that every story and poem carry out. It is always a joy to read these two authors.
