I bought three and put one in garage and two in house. Additionally, I bought a separate key fab. They all work together!!!
So... Here's what it does. After you alarm the unit and leave, if anyone passes and doesn't click off on the key fab or enters your selected code.....it starts calling your three emergency numbers until it reaches someone. When someone answers it plays your prerecorded message. One of mine says ....Living Room Alarm!!!
I love it!
Ok....here is a helpful hint to those who purchase one.....to sync your fab to unit, you have to push a button on top the inside of the main unit while pushing the key fab. This is the 7 they refer to in directions. I thought they meant the #7 on the keypad....grrrrrrrrr
I got the built-in home alarm system working but was not thrilled about paying big dollars to pay a company to monitor it. Basically I would be paying big bucks to have the alarm system call someone, and if they picked up, they would hopefully they would call me.
So why not cut out the middle man?
The UniquExceptional AD80RF Phone Dialer Motion Detector Alarm with Remote came in quickly.
After installing 3 AA batteries (not include) and plugging it into a phone line (phone cord included) I simply sat it on the kitchen counter and aimed it at the area I wanted to monitor.
This is when I encountered the only real problem, the remote did not work as it came with a very dead battery.
So off to the store to buy a new 12-volt battery. (I even remembered to write down the battery number from the installation sheet.) Unfortunately when I got back the battery I bought was just a little too big, the battery listed in the installation sheet was incorrect. Long story short, I was not able to find the replacement battery in my local stores but lucked out and was able to use a battery from another remote. (They sell additional remotes on Amazon.)
Note: you can arm the system without the remote using the keyboard, but the directions were very confusing. The last thing I wanted was to have the alarm wailing away while I tried to figure how to turn it off, so I skipped this.
Once the remote battery was installed I simply clicked the on button to arm the system and clicked off to disarm. You can choose whether there is an audible alarm or if you want to have the system dial out without sounding the alarm.Read more ›
The bad - not very loud, instructions could be a little more detailed, e.g. it tells how to program a code to arm it, but doesn't explain how to disarm it w/o remote. It also beeps when it's tripped, then it calls programmed number and finally sound alarm, don't know if that's good or bad, but wish it would just call, then sound alarm w/o the initial beep. In silent mode it makes no sounds when tripped. The manufacturer claims up to 23 ft of coverage from unit, the best I got was about 15 ft away
Overall I like the unit and would recommend it, also I use it with magic jack and it works great, tried to use it with the straight talk home phone cellular base unit, but it could not call out.
to Don who was very helpful, He shipped me out a new remote and I received it 3 days latter. The customer service was the best and I would recommend this unit to anyone.
Been using it now for two weeks straight and it hasnt messed up since, so it may have been human error, or Murphy playing his games.
May 31st. Couple months now and it works as described, I am happy with the product.

Terrible system. Never worked from the start. Screws you have to undo so small I dropped one and lost it. Read morePublished 14 months ago by Doc B
