What I love about The Manhattanites is their dedication and love for eachother. No matter what, they are always there for each other through thick and thin even if they are fighting. The Manhattanites are also the craziest bunch of silver spooners ever, with their hilarity, dedication, crazy antics and their amazing personalities.
In this book it revolves around Kiki, Taddy's Right hand. She is a 20 something virgin with high morals and a hot DJ boyfriend that wants nothing more than to spend forever with her. Although he has always been a playboy, with her he wants to make her comfortable around him and not push her into anything she isn't ready for. Kiki was raised to wait til marriage to have sex but between his hotness, her labido and their strong physical attraction they are fighting a losing battle.
Dejon isn't all Kiki thinks he is and that makes for some very tricky situations for him to be in while she isn't too far from him. Being a jewel thief around some of the wealthiest people and friends he has, can ruin everything for him and Kiki. So what does he do? He breaks it off with her to keep her safe, coincidently after his brother Dash takes one thing away from them both that they can never get back. Will this change everything? Why hell yeah!! LOL But only in the most beautiful ways and I LOVE IT!!!
Dash is Dejons brother that no one knew he had until things get a bit tricky. Dash has always been very close with Dejon since they are identical twins. He also shot Kiki by accident and falls for her hard but after what they did with Kiki not long ago will she let them all work things out and be happy?
I love this book because I just LOVE m/f/m and all around multiple relationship books period. They are exciting, emotional, and there are so much to be put into them to work. It is awesome to see these relationships develop and become the ultimate triad or more. Avery does such an awesome job making all of these characters come together and mesh with the storyline. If you didn't read the other books you would never know that they all came from different lifestyles or backgrounds but still love and care for one another.
If you are looking for that sweet down home love story STOP NOW!! If you are looking for some super HAWT sex, angst, humor, and just downright craziness that only the Manhattanites can give you are definitely in the right place!! STOP READING THIS NOW AND GO GET THIS WHOLE SERIES!!!
Dejon and Dash are plotting to steal back 3 large "blood" diamonds for families that lost so much be the mercenaries that stole them, upon the fathers dying wishes. A father that really had nothing to do with them since they wee small boys....not sure I understand the loyalty, but I think the cause was great. Anyway, Kiki's job overlaps with all of these heist....long story short, things get complicated on the last heist. This book was fast paced through the entire thing and we get to see a lot of Taddy and Warner, whom I adore. There is so much going on in this book that it will keep you up late at night to finish it......love, love this series.
Kiki is a virgin and being around the Manhattanites has definitely peaked her curiosity about sexual matters but she has always been determined to remain pure until her wedding night. The question is...will she actually make it to her wedding night when she has fallen so completely in love with Dejon?
They say diamonds are a girls best friend, well that holds true for Kiki since it is the biggest account she has been given by Taddy, she is to represent Paloma Gems, which means she gets to coordinate the display and advertisement of the beautiful and rare diamond pieces.
Dejon and Dash have set out to find and take back all of the blood diamonds that have been bought from their hometown in Africa, it was their fathers dying wish that the finish what he began. But now that Kiki is the representation of the gem company that has one of the pieces can Dejon be with her and fulfill his promise?
As with other Avery Aster books, this one is off the charts HOT! Honestly how can it not be when you have identical looking twins that aren't identical in the way they need her, one is sweet and caring while the other is consuming and demanding. Dejon and Dash are both determined to get the blood diamonds back but neither of the men are ready to leave Kiki behind. Will Kiki be able to be with them when she finds out the truth? Only one way to find out.....
