Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Understand, however, that this is only a review book; it will not replace more "heavy-duty" textbooks like "The Enduring Vision". The book is designed to help you recall information you learned in class, not teach it to you for the first time. Also, understand that although the chapters are much shorter than those of "The Enduring Vision" or similar textbook, this is not like one of those last-minute SAT prep books that you can flick through during the last few days before the test. I'd recommend starting this book about a month or more before the AP Exam so you can read at a comfortable, thorough pace — about one chapter per day. The chapters only take about 40 minutes to one hour to read thoroughly.
Overall, a great tool for review, full of concise information written in (mostly) plain English accompanied by useful charts and maps.
I'd also like to address the many one-star reviews claiming that "the author is a traitor to the Constitution" and demanding that "Amazon immediately remove this item and stop offering it for sale." If you haven't yet read the negative reviews, most of the commenters take offense with the book's summary of the ever-controversial Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights (AKA, the right to bear arms). Please understand that there are over 750 pages in this book, and, frankly, it is ridiculous that people find it necessary to give the book one star because they don't agree with a few sentences on one page out of +750. I'd like to point out that ALMOST NONE of the negative reviewers are "Verified Purchasers" of the book — some go as far as outrightly saying "I haven't bought the book" (a phrase that, in my opinion, should automatically flag a review for removal in Amazon's review system). The controversy is stemming from a right-wing conservative blog titled "The Daily Paul," which can be found by Googling the phrase "daily paul high school ap history." (I won't increase the PageRank of the blog post by directly linking to it)
To be fair, I can see how some may feel that the book over-simplifies the Bill of Rights. It is unfair, however, to allow people who have never even bought the book to slander its reputation over less than 0.13% of its content. Give this book a chance in your APUSH Review toolbox, and you will not be sorry.
Shortly after getting the book, I even realized that my teacher structures his lessons off this book, and puts some of the practice questions on his quizzes! I bring it in with me to class, and follow directly in the text. NOTE: This book is also perfect if you are using the "American Pageant" Textbook- it has very similar chapters so you can find exactly where you are in the curriculum.
On the note of the paraphrasing of the Bill Of Rights- yes it does, it is one section and is actually quite helpful. If you would like to see the real Bill Of Rights, there are numerous resources for you to do so- this is a REVIEW book NOT a textbook, get over it.
IF YOU ARE DOUBTING BUYING THIS BOOK DON'T IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY IT IS MY BIBLE I PROTECT IT WITH MY LIFE.
If you are not understanding, perhaps I will put it this way, Similar to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, when Harry gets the old science book with annotations that help him to the top of his class.... THIS IS THAT BOOK BUT REAL AND FOR APUSH
I do not recommend using it as the only resource, however, because it is a SUPPLEMENT and only that. A standardized textbook gives a better description of some of the events and people, while the AMSCO book can only do so much in the number of pages it contains. It is a fantastic supplement, but should be used along with another book.

I purchased this book from The Book Community which had advertised the book as being brand new. Unfortunately, the condition of the book was quite a ways from being brand new. It had highlighted answers to the quizzes in each chapter (many answers were wrong by the way) and it had highlighting throughout each chapter. In addition to this, it had some red stains on sides of the book. the edges and corner were also frayed a little bit. It upsets me because I paid around 80 American dollars for this book, thus it was quite disappointing and I feel like they pulled a bait and switch on me. The content of the book is awesome, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do well on their AP History exam. Just be careful about who you purchase it from.
