On my Lenovo W530 it did not charge it, which I knew as it is 170 W. But after I set it to 20 volts which is what my Lenovo uses I started having warnings that the usb ports had surges, even though I'd disconnected it. I did resets as it prompted me to do for the ports, and so far it is seeming ok. But I don't think it runs this pc (as opposed to running and charging battery or charging battery).
So not very good success for me-I have to go buy a dell one locally now for 60.00 as I don't have time to order one online for half price.
What is even more great is that the charger does not feel as though it was cheaply made. The cord is long and firm. and the brick feels nice instead of having that cheap plastic feel. What confused me but is also better IMO is that the charger is not the same as the one pictured but the one they sent me looks nicer than the one posted anyway.
PLUS it came with a cord that fits my ps3 so now I can use that if my other one breaks AND I also decided to see if the charger would power my old gaming chair that has a subwoofer inside and IT DID. I got more out of what I was expecting. this is most definitely a good product and for ANYONE who needs a replacement within budget, GET THIS ONE. 5/5!
It's a cheap ungrounded 2-prong plug, and the plugs are straight in, meaning the cord sticks out about 3 inches, and constantly catches on things nearby -- the same adapter I already own and am attempting to replace.
Perhaps other sellers have the correct item -- if you received the actual item described, please leave a comment with the name of the seller yours came from.
This is the second misrepresented adapter I'm returning. Since the returns are at Amazon's expense, including UPS pickup, perhaps they'll tire of sellers who blatantly misrepresent their products.
Final thought - Fits every device in my home, comes in handy, some attachments don't fit perfectly but it works.
