This manual is a must read for anyone working with young children in a school or daycare setting. The information is clearly arranged and is very easy to read. The manual provides strategies and tips that can be used in most school settings, and you do not need to be a Play Therapist in order to implement the techniques into your work. Christian's manual would be a great resource to use as part of a staff /professional development session. I have been working in education and mental health for nearly 20 years, and I wish I had information like this when I was in the classroom.

I have the pleasure of working with Chris and when I learned that he had written a book I had two goals in mind:
1. Support a colleague who achieved something most only dream about. Congratulations, well done!
2. I hoped that after reading this manual I would improve my ability to communicate with parents who have a child struggling with challenging behaviors.
I wondered if the book would be written in clinical terms that would only make sense to a therapist. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the book was written in plain language that I could understand and that the techniques offered could be applied, not only in the classroom, but at home as well. I have a clearer understanding of how what most view on the surface as simple play has such a powerful purpose in helping a child develop skills necessary to navigate their amazing little worlds. Regardless of whether or not you interact with children on a daily basis, whether through work or play, if you have an opportunity to help mold the life of a child in any capacity, this book is worth your time.

Mr. Bellissimo offers a guide that is easy to navigate, clearly written, and very inspiring to anyone working or living with children.

This book is an in depth overview of various play therapy techniques and how they are implemented. Christian has provided many examples and gives you the tools required to successfully engage in play therapy.

As a teacher of preschoolers, UPT has been an invaluable tool which has contributed to the success of my students. I've seen such a dramatic improvement since putting these tactics to use. The schedules, activities, rules, and practice exercises have been so useful.
