I purchased this for my grandson for Christmas as per his asking and I have to give it 5 stars because of the look on his face when he opened it up and I got the biggest hug and kiss a grandmother could get. When a child is happy, the world is happy!

The price for this set is now extremely inflated. If you're a classic lego set collector, fine, keep paying these inflated prices. If you're a parent, looking for a set for your child, you should know that there is a newer version of this set (Lego Shuttle Creator 10213) that has more pieces for about half of this price.

Hope that helps!

This is about as close to the real shuttle as i will get. this was my first real "modle" lego set and i enjoyed putting it together. In fact i enjoyed it so much that when i found the Lego Shuttle Adventure i bought it without hessitation.

there are a few differences in both but both are nice looking. This one has the Hubble in the payload, the other as two astronaughts and a crew chief an another satalite.

Most interesting is the ADVENTURE has the tank and rocket boosters too, this one doesn't.

Both shuttles are fun and i hope they don't get discontinued like the real one is.

A Kid's Review on December 26, 2003
I think this toy is a lot of fun, and I am amazed at how real it looks. I think the only bad part is the three engines come off pretty easily, otherwise it is great fun and you can just fit a mini figure in with a small helmet . The Hubble Telescope is also very fun.
