This book gets to the bottom of why we love ourselves some cannibalistic hoards!
Each story is ingenious and had me hooked with some interesting mixtures of genres. All authors brought their A game to the table. An explosion of creative collaborations scaring the life from us! Different, unusual, each contributing something new to the zombie sub-genre. So many shorts, none of them alike, each unique and equally satisfying. However I do have some favourites that went that extra mile to bring horror fans what they crave.
These shorts are cringe-orific, but you'll still be clawing your way through for more. A collection of apocalyptic tales each as terror-tastic as the last. This book will take you on an unforgettable journey.
The first story is a mix of conspiracy, government and zombies, thrilling, exhilarating and tonnes of breathless suspense, with some interesting characters taking centre stage. I haven't read anything like this short and thoroughly enjoyed it.
My favourite is 'Delta Sigma Dead' by the very talented writer Dale Herring.
Original idea, and portrays the desperation of a guy willing to do anything to get into a frat house. Quick, sick and satisfying.Read more ›
As my blog's name indicates, I'm a Romance/Horror Fan, so I was really excited when I saw this book up for review, I didn't hesitate and grabbed a copy and that was one truly wise decision!
Where should I start? It's impossible for me make a review, because each one of the stories and poems are unique!! What I can say is that's full of gore, emotions, good and bad decisions, primal instincts, tears, action, etc.
I'm going to recommend one story and one poem, because each one struck a chord on me.
The story: Don't Cry by Rob Shepherd
I love it because... it made me cry!!
The poem: A Zombie Dream by Mathias Jansson
Excellent written, really ingenious and weirdly funny.
The best thing is that this gem only costs 1.99!! don't hesitate, grab your copy!!! You are not going to regret it.

So many different contributions, from short stories, to flash fiction, to poetry.
And there are some great illustrations sprinkled throughout these stories. It made the reading even more fun.
I had some I enjoyed more than others but all in all a very solid collection.
I’m huge on the apocalyptic genre and zombies so I read this cover to cover without pausing.
I cringed. I laughed.
It may sound morbid, but the ones I liked the most had the worst endings. I know, I’m a sucker for the shockers and who expects a happy ending when the shuffling horde is out to eat ya. LOL I’d be disappointed if some of the main characters didn’t meet a grisly end, and these authors didn’t disappoint me.
Now that I’ve sampled these authors I’ll be checking to see what else they have to offer.
I received this book for my honest review.
This is a great compilation of short zombie stories, by several different authors. I am a serious fan of the genre and it takes a lot to impress me and this book did. I love the way the stories flowed and the characters were lively. I totally enjoyed this book and hope these authors get together and write another, if they do I will definitely be reading that.
