Evan Ross is all male. His best friend kept him in place back at school and he’s never let her go since. After the breakup with his fiancé he finds himself with feelings for his best friend but he couldn’t possibly act on them, could he?
Kelsey Peterson is dealing with a heartbreaking after finding her husband sleeping with her best friend’s fiancé. Her heart hurts but all she can think about is her best friend, the friend she’s always had feelings for.
With tickets to a honeymoon not going to use even decided to ask his best friend to accompany him. She’s his best friend and the only one he wants around but with feelings from both sides poking around what could possibly happen in a beautiful place, whilst alone in Hawaii?
Well you’ll have to read this book to find out because I’m sure glad I did. The storyline was great even with those dumb idiots they were with in it. There’s heartbreak and sadness with loving and tenderness and it was great to read. It’s a book about love and second chances at finding the one who makes your heart beat like crazy.
I did end up skipping through some pages as they just weren’t capturing my attention like the others. That’s the only bad thing I have to say, other than that everything was good. This is my first book from Cherrie Lynn and I enjoyed it.
Friends since college. One madly in love with the other. One aware of feelings but scared to act on them. Ten years of circumstances and a huge heartbreak involving them both, brings them full circle to make one HOT and endearing read. I love the best friend angle and when you add in unrequited love and a Hero determined not to let a good thing slip away again...well you just can't go wrong.
It takes months for Kelsey to be able to even talk to Evan and somehow that hurts more than the actual betrayal did. She is torn when Evan calls and coerce's her into going on his "honeymoon" to Hawaii that his father had purchased for Evan and Courtney. Kelsey relents knowing that she and Evan really do need the time to heal their friendship if she is to really feel whole again.
It takes patience and courage but Evan is able to explain to Kelsey his feelings towards her before she married Todd and Kelsey allows the past to heal so she can build a future with Evan.
I know that these are a series, Ross Siblings, but they are written to be stand alone novels as well.
Enjoy them all or just one at a time.
Being able to witness Evan slowly start making a move on Kelsey was thrilling not just for the physical parts, but for the sake of how much it would mean to Kelsey. She's been in love with Evan for years, but is insecure when it comes to him. Even though he was a bit of a player in college, she always felt rejected in some way because he never showed interest in her.
I cried and squealed and exalted as their finally got to together and started making an actual relationship. Loved watching it fully blossom as they acknowledged their love for one another.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed every moment I spent reading this book. It was entertaining and sexy at the same time. This is the first book I've read from this author and clearly it won't be the last.
