Edited to add: The ending of this book really stuck with me. It's been weeks since I read it and yet this ending is still popping up in my head from time to time. That's the mark of a great storyteller.
All of the most loved characters are back to invite us to journey with them. This time the journey isn't just difficult, it's painful. How this most magnificent author manages to bring so very many important life lessons into such enjoyable books befuddles and amazes me, but she certainly does. Ms. Geary writes so well we feel we know these people and if we went to Nova Scotia or Berkeley they'd be there...Aaron cooking in the inn, Lauren selling real estate and Moira dispensing wisdom over tea.
I have not mentioned much about the story itself because walking that path with these lovely people is a pleasure I leave to the reader. Well done. Again and again, WELL DONE!!
Thanks so very much Debora on a wonderful read!
An Unlikely Witch is the 2nd book in the Witch Central series and the most heartbreaking to date of all of Debra's books. Having an emergency hysterectomy when my son was only 4 years-old left me empty and emotionally scarred. For years my dreams revealed tiny faces of freckles and hair of red with smiles identical to their big brother's. This book took me back 23 years and reminded me of a pain I thought I lost long ago. I FELT Nat's desperation and fear and sorrow as she struggled to let go of her baby boy whose face was only in her dreams. I FELT Nat's strong, deep, soul-consuming love for her daughter whom she would protect and cherish and give thanks for always. Most of all I FELT the healing love and joy that surrounded her as she took each step through her journey.
The radiating love, belief, strength and magic that is in Witch Central always makes my heart sing, my aura glow brightly, and most of all leaves me with joy and the reminder that our strength is always fueled by those who love us most.
If you don't believe in magic, I challenge you to read A Modern Witch. After you've welcomed "Sullivan & Co." into your life you will thank Debra for introducing you.

I love getting lost in these books and I'm sad they are ending. Maybe with some magic they'll come back. Love them all!Published 29 days ago by Deborah P. Bradshaw
Well written, feel good book. A little predictable, but worth it. Characters continue to develop nicely and I'll definitely read the next book(s).Published 1 month ago by Branden Baecke

Truly a bad book. Treacle. Boring. Repetitive. Like a Thomas Kincaid picture and that lady that sells fairy junk on QVC had a smarmy baby. Read morePublished 4 months ago by C. Thibaudeau
