We first saw Bron the Dom at the competition for the new dancer hires. Masked and mysterious, he easily won a place. His goal is simple, make money to fund the drama program at his school and help pay for the field trip the club is planning. That's right folks, he's keeping his identity a secret because he's a teacher and his real name is Mack.
Now Hannah is a different story, she is the principal where Mack teaches. She is responsible for the cuts to the drama program. She has her sites on Mack using his other degree, the Math one to teach summer school so those seniors accepted into college will graduate.
Before Mack agrees to teaching he wants her to beg him, just like he begged for her not to cut his funding. He gets a lot more than he expected with that one. This is a favorite scene.
Things really get interesting when Mack sees her at the club. She's there because of her sister's bachelorette party. It's here we find out her secret desires.
Hot, sexy, funny with enough tension to keep it all very intriguing. Don't miss the special bonus chapter at the end!
I enjoyed these characters. They are opposites in every way. Both have secret crushes on the other but won't acknowledge them. I had fun watching them trying to justify their feelings about the other to stay out of each other's arms. When they both have the opportunity to get what they want, it backfires. I liked how Mack becomes introspective about himself and his life when he starts knowing Hannah is not someone he wants to lose. I was glad when Hannah had to lower her shields to let Mack in when trouble comes. Both need to learn they can have what they want but they must trust the other.
I am enjoying this series and look forward to the next one.
Mack/Broc was introduced in the first book as one of the new male dancers who audition for a spot at Iron Rods. He is a man of mystery especially since he always wears a mask. In this book, we learn a little more about the man behind the mask. We find out that he is a high school teacher who is trying to make extra money to supplement his theater department. Based on his mask and his mystery, it is decided that he needs to be “the Dom”. Having never participated in this type of play, he thinks he can just wing it, that is until he meets his first paying customer……
Hannah is Mack’s boss. She a hard woman who is trying to do right by her school and is often looked upon as uptight and strict. She finds herself at Iron Rods for a bachelorette party and doesn’t want to be there. However, when “the DOM” steps out, she is mesmerized. She wants one night, one night to explore all the things she has read about. She wants to let her hair down and let a man have complete control over her.
Broc is the man of her dreams while Mack is a pain she has to deal with even though she thinks he is very attractive.
I really enjoyed this book from many angles. I enjoyed watching Hannah let her hair down. I liked watching Mack become the man he wants to be. I like them growing together as a couple.
One element of this book that was new to me was as a reader we were able to watch Mack learn and grow in his schooling to be the Dom that Hannah needs. Not many books give you the inside emotion and thoughts of a newbie. I found this to be very interesting.
I really enjoyed the interactions between Mack and his lovely, uptight principal, Hannah. After bumbling his way into a situation he was warned about, for which he was fully unprepared, Mack set about learning new skills. The rewards are great!
It was fun learning about the success of Iron Rods, and the future expansion plans. I like the personalities of the employees and the way they interact with each other. Plenty of room for more stories here. I'm really looking forward to that! I voluntarily reviewed an author's copy of this book.
I loved this story, all the characters are great and Mack having his phony accent made fun of made me laugh. Hannah's great, a woman who knows what she'd love and finally goes for it. A wonderful story, now I'll have to read the first in the series.
