Let's be honest, when you get a warning that the hero of story starts off on the wrong foot at the beginning, you might get a little wary of actually reading the entire book. But sometimes, you have to get him the benefit of doubt and take a chance on him, to believe that he can change. You have to trust the author's ability to take a not-so-likable guy and make me the man worthy of your heart.

So when the time came to read this story, I went into it with an open mind. I admit that I had a stop a couple of time to just scream at Chandler and maybe pull out my hair. Sure Chandler older but he's got give a guy in his 20's a run for their money, sex appeal. The only problem is that he never saw him settling down or having children. So much so that he's taken steps to prevent that from ever happening. So when Jamie drops that bombshell, to say he was shocked is a bit of an understatement. And thus, his actions cause him to appear less than stellar.

Jamie has always been the strong, independent type, and now having to face this life changing event on her own only proves how strong she can be. Sure she wanted Chandler to be there, but things didn't work out that way. Even after time has passed, she still thinks about him but she won't let that get her down. She knows it's time to move on.

But of course, what's the fun in that? Fate throws them together in the most unlikely of places. Chandler is so happy to see her; she's be on his mind more and more lately. He's never forgotten her and now fate has placed her right in front of him.

Now he's more determined than ever to win her back. It's going to be tough battle, but he knows what he wants and it's a life with Jamie. Jamie wants to believe him, but too much time has passed to jump back into anything.

*shakes head no*

FYI: major SPOILERS ahead.

Usually it's harder for me to like heroines, but in this case it was the male character Chandler. I haven't come across a male protagonist who I disliked so much in a while. I refuse to call him a hero. He was a class A jerk and gets A Hole of the Year Award.

He's 48 and a bachelor who doesn't want to settle down. He sleeps around with Jamie who winds up preggo. Then when she tells him she's preggo with his twins, he laughs at her (because he's had a vasectomy) telling her that she's a liar and a gold digger, demanding a DNA test. Then when the DNA test comes back positive he takes the cowards way out (claiming he's not fit to be a father) and doesn't want anything to do with Jamie and the twins. So he goes MIA for a year and a half. During that time, he's having one night stands to release his frustration. As you can see, he was just all sorts of effed up. I was just so done with his character by that point and didn't even care anymore.

Jamie and the twins deserved someone so much better than this unworthy bastard.

Unmistakable by Lacey Wolfe is a good read that will keep you glued to the pages, even if it’s only to find out how big a whole Chandler gets himself into.

Chandler and Jamie are in a complicated position. It was only supposed to be sex….just sex, but things don’t actually turn out like we think. Chandler is a playboy who loves sex and isn’t afraid to yell from the rooftops and Jamie is a school teacher who doesn’t look at Chandler and see dollar signs. She is honestly attracted to Chandler and if given the chance, would love a relationship with him.

Chandler enjoys being a playboy and doesn’t plan on settling down ever. He even got a vasectomy to ensure no kids could wreck his lifestyle. What happens when Jamie turns up pregnant claiming the baby is Chandler’s? All Hell breaks out…that’s what! Be prepared to feel sorry for Jamie and to hate Chandler for a while.

“Where there is history, there is always a chance.”

But don’t worry he eventually comes to his senses, but it won’t be easy to sway Jamie.

The writing is easy to lose yourself in, the characters are conflicted and intriguing, and the story itself is worth the read!

Unmistakeable

I loved this book. It was a well written the story, I really enjoyed the characters though I wanted to throttle Chandler at time.

Chandler is a character you love to hate. His business is doing well, he has money and his love life is uncomplicated. The women he has relationships with know the score nothing permanent just fun. He meets Jaime at a gentleman's club they have been seeing each other longer than most of his other relationships. Jaime is different than the women he usually sees, she is not after him for money.

Jaime met Chandler at a gentleman's club they were seeing each other for a few months. She knows the deal with him just fun nothing serious. Jaime starts to fall for Chandler so she stops seeing him. When she discovers that she's pregnant she never expected him to be such a jerk.

Can Chandler redeem himself or is it too late.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

Boy did I hate Chandler from the very beginning! Oh my gosh, I can see his point but does he really have to be such a jerk?! He does redeem himself though and really is the guy I hoped he would be. The story starts off with Jamie and Chandler dating, they had met at the gentleman's club. Jamie seemed to be the one for Chandler that he swore he would never have. He didn't want long term, love, etc. It was all about fun for him but with Jamie it is something he hasn't felt before.
When things happen between these 2, it is so much more than either of them wanted but Jamie is in it for the long haul where as Chandler can't get out soon enough. In the end, he does come clean and see everything a new way and really is a great guy!
This is another wonderful story by Lacey that I didn't want to put down.
