Good book, but especially towards the end it felt rushed, like the author had to finish it in X number of pages. I liked the storyline, very original. Definitely sex scenes, but not exceptionally explicit.

I enjoyed it, it was worth reading and I even paid .99$ for it, and I am a hardcore cheapskate.

having said that, there could be a little more character development and a less rushed ending.

This book started off in such a way that I was thoroughly impressed- you've got your heroine Barbara who is young and full of dreams to be an actress. Then you've got her hero Howard who has a horrible and horribly rich family but he's an absolute dream. They fall in love and when he takes her to meet his parents we run into Russ- the gardener's son who always ends up with the girls Howard brings back. But not Barbara. She's got her pride and self respect intact but after leaving Howard's family causes problems and she winds up alone....and pregnant...and that's when her life goes to Hell in a handbasket. The thing about Russ is he won't go away and that causes problems too. Flash forward almost a decade and we find Barbara and her son Matt have been running away for Matt's entire life because Russ won't leave them alone. I'm in it to win it, the story is great the writing is great- and as more characters are introduced (LOVED DANI--SHE IS THE BEST CHARACTER ASIDE FROM MATT) Barbara starts to look more and more like a too stupid to live heroine. Now, as much as the things she did and thought pissed me off I'm glad I kept reading because she did in fact redeem herself. I won't spoil it with how but with all the drama from the lawyer, the Hamilton's (Howard's parents), Tammy, Russ, Kyle, and all the other people in this book...Barb came through. And I'm actually glad I continued reading because the story was very good.

Barbara Johnson has spent nine years running and hiding with her so. By a fluke she is exposed despite her new name, and new location. A twist of fate exposes her to the abusive may she has tried to elude and the family with money and power to take her son from her. Kyle Trent rescues her from a mugger and attempts to save her from her past. This is a good read.

UNNATURAL RELATIONS (Lust and Lies) by Marilyn Campbell was a story full of twist and turns that kept you turning the page, wanting to see what would happen next. Just when you think you know what was going to happen, something else would change, and later would learn that what you thought someone had done, actually it was another person. I liked the characters and was happy with the ending. This was the first story I have read by this author and truly enjoyed and have already recommended it to others.

I have to say that I literally could not put this book down even though I had figured out who all the bad guys were early on. All the double and triple crossing kept me interested throughout the book as did the story of how a man can gradually manipulate a young and desperate woman into tolerating increasingly unacceptable behaviour. What I didn't like was how Barb appeared to regress back to her naive and trusting younger self. Surely after nine years on the run from a violent stalker you wouldn't forget everything you've learned and start trusting all the strangers who suddenly appear in your life after a photo of you and your son was published nationally? Dani was by far the most interesting and sensible character and I would love to see a book about her in the future.

I kept banging my head against the wall as i read this book thinking, "she cannot be this stupid!". Skipped lots of pages because just couldn't bear to read where she is so suckered that she lets that creep get into her bed... Just how in love was she? Then once she's escaped and in hiding she completely ignores all the great instincts she spent years cultivating and let's a guy into her bed - again in record time - and let's him and others she coincidentally meets within a week of her face plastered on the newspaper close enough to risk her son's life???! Yeah, right!. No self-respecting Mom running for her life for years is going to go off and leave their child unprotected with a stranger or let them into her home.

Ok, the book pissed me off a few times but i guess the author was going for that or something. There could have been much more background on Russ... We didn't find out his ticking bomb until the end and, there could have been much more tension from the interactions of all the crazies. Was it good? It was...Meh.

I won't be reading others in this series or seeking this author again. Sorry.

Ok. I had never read a book by this author. It was a freebie. I will not go into the entire book and plot. I will say the heroine in this book made me both mad and disgusted. After all of the difficulties and traumas she suffered, she learned absolutely nothing. All of these people came into her life immediately after she was in the newspaper. It does not take a genius to put two and two together, yet she just could not do it. So frustrating. When you have things in your past like this woman, you would be smart enough to figure things out and judge people. My biggest beef was her leaving her son with a virtual stranger plus giving her the key to her home. Screw the home. Her biggest gift she hands over on a platter to a woman she sort of did not like on first sight. Even if I was glamoured by a person, I would not leave my son with them so I could go get my freak on. The end of the story is somewhat redeeming but the naivety of the heroine is disturbing.
