Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

There are some things this book does not tell you. For example, while it explains how to remove the clutch unit, it does not tell you how to disassemble the clutch once it's out of the machine. Rather, he encourages you to just replace the entire unit. It's not out of laziness that he does that--he makes some convincing arguments on why you should strongly consider doing so--but my point is that the manual doesn't cover "everything", so don't buy it thinking that you're going to become an expert in every little nitty-gritty detail about the DC07 after reading it. However, you're sure going to know everything you "need" to know to keep your DC07 up and running... and thankfully, it's really not all that complicated.
I'm glad I found this resource, and thankful the author took the time to compose it. The savings from one or two DIY repairs will probably cover the cost of the manual. More importantly, the information in the manual will keep your DC07 working for years to come.
Install brush housing
Install clutch cover
Stretch belt over motor shaft
These three steps can't be done in this order, as the brush housing makes installing the clutch cover very awkward, and the clutch cover encases the end of the motor. Do those three steps in the reverse order. Aside from that, I've found it to be a great resource. The author's conversational tone really makes for a quick, clear read.
Back in the day I used Clymer manuals to repair cars and rebuild engines. The work was always challenging, not just because I had usually never tried that particular task before but because the photos were so poorly lit you could barely see the part in question, let alone the context of the surrounding area. That fairly describes this book. Good luck trying to get an idea from the pics.
Why is the problem of poorly lit photos such a big deal? Because the descriptive text is no better.
I bought this book because I needed to replace the duct assembly, or the backbone of our DC07. This book didn't tell me anything I couldn't, didn't see with my own eyes. I really wanted to make sure there were no steps to be wary of, not wanting to be put in the position of having to buy a new unit because I broke something.
Well written, easy to understand and no jargon.
My DC07 is working like new again anyway......
