I bought this book to help me wade through all the information needed to plan an upcoming trip to Disney World. Imagine my dismay when attempting to read some relevant information in the book, only to be directed to the authors' website...where I need to subscribe to get the content I purchased the book for. Had I known that, I wouldn't have purchased the book at $17.99. For that price, the book should come with a code for a free subscription to access the material, or should just include the material in the first place.
The book series is good don't get me wrong....but if you have a fairly recent one I would just recommend updating your online subscription so you can plan your day out on your mobile phone. BTW a smartphone is almost a must at Disney now. You can't even make reservations at a restaurant without one (well its very difficult without one).
Also, because of the length and complexity of the book, I wish there was a brief checklist somewhere in the book to list out which attractions you want to use FastPass+ for so that you have all of those in one spot when you get the opportunity in advance to book those things. Now I need to keep track in a separate spot with my list and the suggested times to make those reservations. The same thing applies for the advanced dining reservations -- a list of the restaurants that you absolutely MUST have advance dining for would be greatly appreciated.
The other thing, and this may be something I didn't realize before, but the touring plans (even the 2-day ones which you would expect to include "everything") don't hit some of the "big" rides.Read more ›
I also love the size of a guide, because it will be easy to take with us on our trip. The last thing you need at Disney is to be packing a big book around with you.
If you start planning early for your vacation, and this guide will help you out so much. I wish we would have taken it's suggestion to purchase our tickets earlier. When you buy you tickets, you can then reserve your fast pass selections. So the sooner you buy your tickets you can then pick the best rides first.
I do like how it tells you how to plan your vacation way in advance. What you should do one year in advance, six months in advance, and so on. You don't have to worry about missing something important or rushing around at the last minute.
One thing is I wish I would have made a stroller sign! There are so many strollers at Disney, and that was the hardest thing to keep finding. I don't think that tip was in the book, but I noticed several with them, and it would have made it so much easier.
Would I Purchase Them Again: YES and I would recommend this as a gift to someone you know is going.
Did You Find My Review Helpful? If so, I would appreciate it if you clicked yes.
