Purchase options and add-ons

When a women receives an unexpected positive pregnancy test, abortion often seems like the best or only option for a fulfilling future.  Unplanned Grace beautifully challenges that myth, equipping readers to support abortion-vulnerable women with love that values life in every way.

Writing for the nonprofit organization Save the Storks, Natasha and Brittany draw on personal interviews, inspiring stories, and eye-opening facts to help readers understand:
  • How economics, relationships, and health affect a woman's pregnancy decision
  • The value of having empathy for women facing unplanned pregnancies
  • The enormous potential churches have to support women in crisis
Writing not just from a "pro-birth" perspective but from a "pro-abundant life" prospective, Unplanned Grace is an ideal resource for churches and individuals who want to make a difference in the pro-life movement.

Review

Many of the stories [in Unplanned Grace] brought tears to my eyes—tears of empathy for the very real difficulties that many women and men face and tears of gratitude for the ways people have stepped in and served those in need. This authentic, fresh perspective on the issue of life is needed. Regardless of where you stand on the issue, I urge you to consider these stories. ― Lauren Green McAfee, speaker, writer, Hobby Lobby corporate ambassador

Unplanned Grace is my new favorite book on helping people understand why every life is sacred. There are accidental parents, but there are no accidental children! Your parents may not have planned you, but God did—and he had a purpose for your birth. This book is biblical, practical, loving, and warmhearted.” ― Rick Warren, DMin, author of The Purpose Driven Life

“Between the stirring stories and straight-forward statistics,
Unplanned Grace is a compelling tapestry of grace, showing the pregnancy-help community stepping up to love people facing difficult decisions. This book reveals the bigger picture of the Spirit of God at work with empowering grace.” ― Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International

Highly recommend!
This wonderfully written and thoroughly researched book takes a deep-dive into a thought-provoking conversation about Pro-Life. Not just religious narrative, but economic factors, personal stories, and even the world of Pregnancy Resource Centers. This is a judgement free, intellectual conversation that will change the way you view the abortion-decision and equip you to serve and love those around you. Highly recommend!

I finished this book in a couple of days, which is rare for me. But it was so accessible, yet compelling! Sometimes I run across anti-abortion people online that are missing what I think this books provides as a key ingredient- compassion. Understanding the circumstances that surround a woman when she is faced with an unplanned pregnancy ignites the kind of compassion that actually gets help to people. I've seen this firsthand as a volunteer at a pregnancy resource center, and everything discussed in this book affirms that life and dignity that pro-life people want to make a culture out of. I like how the sections are laid out by stories, information, and direction- it makes it very readable! This being from Save the Storks makes exact sense as they are the ones putting boots on the road to bring love, truth, and care to people where they are at. I think the more stories we know, the better we know the "why" behind what we do and the "how" to help. I wish more people knew the content inside this book. Thank you for a great resource!

I was truly moved by the testimonies of the people featured in Unplanned Grace. These are testimonies of brave women and men who were encouraged and assisted by our communities and ministries to keep their babies and raise them successfully. I was also impressed with the number of resources highlighted that are available for those who are on this journey. I had no idea so much help was available! Thank you to Brittany and Natasha for opening our eyes to positive and hopeful solutions to help those who find themselves with an unplanned pregnancy. Excellent Read!!

Unplanned Grace respectfully addresses a topic that so many in the pro-life American church avoid because it is a sensitive and difficult topic...but a topic that NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT. The church can be solidly in the pro-life camp without really knowing how to address this issue when it occurs in the midst of the church or when women facing unplanned pregnancies come into contact with the church.

Unplanned Grace will help prepare church leaders and lay people within the church to better reflect the heart of Christ as they compassionately deal with this topic when it becomes real. When it's not just a general pro-life "position" that one takes as a sort of abstraction, but when one comes into direct contact with men and women who face a culture of death and need a church that will come alongside them with grace during a difficult time.

This book offers hope for women facing an unplanned pregnancy, those making the decision to keep their baby, healing after an abortion and also about having a supportive father. There are different stories that tell a true story of women that have faced an unplanned pregnancy and at least one of the stories will touch someone personally and let them know they are not alone. This incredible book will minister with love and compassion wherever you stand on the abortion issue. This book should be referenced in the churches today so that if a women is facing an unplanned pregnancy they know they will not a judged but will be surrounded with AGAPE unconditional love. This gives hope and understanding to today's hot topic on Pro-Life and the meaning of choosing LIFE.

One of the things I love most about this book is that it takes an empathetic view of women in an unplanned pregnancy. It's not judgmental, but lays out systematically and statistically why women choose abortion. Then it goes a step further and shows how communities are addressing each of those reasons, and how you can join in and be a part of the solution. Love the language of empowerment, that the community has an opportunity to rise up and empower women to be mothers. Great book, can't wait to share it with others!

Unplanned Grace provides a powerful perspective on what it really means to be pro-life. It's not picketing and shouting at women who are trying to get abortions. it's about reaching out in love to address a woman's needs, to empower her to choose life, knowing that she has the support and resources to do so with confidence. Most abortion-vulnerable women aren't being given the full story on all their options, Unplanned Grace helps to bring clarity to a real conversation about choice and life.

I highly recommended! This book is needed now more than ever. I have read other "pro-life" books but this stands out among the rest. Mainly because it is extremely well researched (and cites the sources), well written, and a plethora of resources and practical application of how we can change the conversation surrounding life. Truly inspiring from the pro-abundant life perspective to the stories. A must for anyone wanting to learn more about the most important issue of our day, life.
