Praise for Peter Edwards:
"Making sense of...evil is something Edwards does extremely well... Edwards is tenacious in his research and has spun a gripping tale."
—The London Free Press
“Peter Edwards knows how real bad guys eat, sleep, and breathe, and on the page brings them to life—even the dead ones—better than any other true crime writer.”
—Linwood Barclay, international bestselling author
“In the biker world the highest compliment you can pay to another guy is that he is ‘solid.’ It means trustworthy. Dependable. Loyal. Lorne Campbell, for the sake of his brothers, took the stand and confessed to a crime that he had not been implicated in, in any way, knowing that he might well spend the rest of [his] life in prison. It doesn’t get any more solid than that.”
—Steve Earle, Grammy Award–winning singer/ songwriter
“The amazingly self-revelatory, and often darkly humorous, self-portrait of a Canadian underground legend; by turns perverse, hilarious, terrible, sad and intensely human—I was sorry when Unrepentant ended. This book rings true.”
—Mick Lowe, award-winning author of Conspiracy of Brothers
“Peter Edwards is one of the best crime writers in Canada.”
—Michel Auger, author of The Biker Who Shot Me: Recollections of a Crime Reporter

We follow the life of Lorne Campbell, a Canadian biker of the Satan's Choice MC, who later becomes a Hells Angel. He tells about his childhood, his youth and we follow him all the way up to his retirement. He is a tough guy, but given his abusive father who beat him constantly, there is not much to fear.
It is a fascinating story, but its based on interviews and police reports, so I found it a little heavy to read. That's why I'm only rating this three stars.
The stories of Campbell's and the people he meet are scary, weird and sometimes hilarious. I would recommend it, if you want an inside peek into the life of a hardcore biker. But like I've written, it is a little heavy to read.
