Sweet Teodoro, Teddy, is from a large Italian family and runs a Community Theatre. We open with him meeting his new co-owner after his friend dies, who is Carter's Uncle.
Carter, tall, brown hair, blue eyes, impeccable suit, is a walking sex god,
and at their first meeting has Teddy bent over the sofa for the best sex of his life. Carter wants to sell, but Teodoro must show him why the theatre is worth saving. He shows him around, explains the Community activism, and his heart is in his job.
The theatre's Rocky Horror Picture Show has Teddy as Dr. Frankenfuter !!
Wonderful short story with a full bodied plot. Loved it !! ENJOY !!
It was a nice story otherwise, and the people of Heartsville are very real and also nice but I'd like a little more taste before I swallow. Maybe the next one will do that.
“Welcome to the gayborhood! In the cozy town of Heartsville, the streets are lined with trees, the shops are full of friendly faces, and happily ever after is just around the corner. Come get to know the boys next door – naughty, nice, and everything in between.”
Unscripted by Nico Jaye is the second book in a five part contemporary MM romance series which is a collaborative effort by five authors. Each novella is written by a different author and will feature a different couple. The authors involved in this project introduce us to Heartsville, a town with a thriving LGBT community. As the series progresses we will get to meet some of Heartsville’s inhabitants and business owners. While each book can certainly be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading the series in sequential order as there is some overlapping when it comes to the characters of this loveable town. Welcome to Heartsville’s gayborhood!
Teodoro “Teddy” Carbone has suddenly found himself the co-owner of the Oasis Theatre, a place he’s been a part of for nine years. With the death of the owner who was Teddy’s mentor and friend, Teddy is now in charge of a theatre that means the world to him. He’s ready for the responsibility as he understands what the Oasis means to the inhabitants of Heartsville. When Teddy approaches Carter Monroe, the other appointed owner and nephew of his deceased friend, he is taken aback to discover that Carter does not have the same aspirations for the Oasis Theatre. He wants to sell it and move on. It’s up to Teddy to convince the aloof and cold corporate shark that the theatre is worth saving and sometimes it is absolutely alright to make decisions based on your heart.
This was a sweet and sexy tale where things move rather quickly between our two protagonists. Carter is one to go after what he wants and Teddy just so happens to be in his line of sight after they meet. Watch and see how Heartville’s resident theatre stage manager finds happy with a businessman who needed a little light and color in his world. Definitely a feel-good quick read that is all about making your heart happy.
All in all, Unscripted is a fun, angst-free tale that left me smiling. It did end rather abruptly in my opinion but it still turned out to be an enjoyable read. I am looking forward to the remainder of the novellas in this series and can’t wait to see how more of Heartsville’s residents succumb to love and passion.
