Wow! Avery Aster takes a no-holds barred approach with her writing giving us an incredible ride with Unscrupulous which is laugh out loud funny. I learned some new things with Unscrupulous - hello 'vajazzled'. Taddy Brill is a strong, independent female that had to take charge of her own life at 16 when her parents abandoned her. I marvel at her strength and determination. She has surrounded herself with a new family - Lex, Vive & Blake - her friends from school that have formed a bond so that each other knows the others will always be there. A chance encounter at an exclusive club brings Taddy into Warner Truman's universe only she thinks he is Garner and that he is cheating on his fiancé/wife. Several months later at a police station in Cannes, Taddy and Warner cross paths again only this time Warner isn't going to let Taddy go. Can Taddy push through her abandonment/unloved issues from childhood to truly let Warner in? It is so much fun being in Taddy's world - Avery Aster keeps the dialogue clicking on all cylinders as well as giving you panty melting sex scenes. A great escape that will leave you smiling! *ARC received from publisher.

I'll admit I read these books backwards and started with Yours, Truly Taddy. I'm playing catch up but that's okay. Taddy is such a strong woman who has been taking bare of herself since she was abandoned by her parents at 16. She is surrounded by three of her best friend. This book is so funny and steamy. Warner has been through bad thing in his life. I think The two were a perfect match. I think it was written very well and tasteful in my option. I'm going to keep catching up on the rest of the books.

Reviewed for For Whom The Books Toll
5, Scorching

At thirty-three, Warner Truman is one of the richest men on the planet, a spa mogul who buys and sells resorts at will. He holds powerful executives' careers in his well-groomed hands. Nothing is beyond Warner's reach...until he meets her.

Stunning, tantalizing and perverse, Taddy Brill captivates Warner's carnal desire like no woman he's ever met. A self-made millionaire, Taddy is tougher than steel, more brilliant than diamonds and, at twenty-seven, she's never depended on a man for anything...until she meets him.

The more Taddy plays with Warner's affections, driving him to erotic heights, the more she is confronted by a dark past. Before she can love him, Taddy must meet her worst fears head-on or risk losing it all, including herself.

My Review:
Unscrupulous is a real attention grabber! I was hooked by page 1. I loved the scene where Taddy, and her friends are in her office looking through windows of other high rise buildings close by with binoculars. I laughed so hard. I can actually imagining people doing that.

Warner is a little uptight after finding out his fiance was a gold digger and not who she said she was. Problem is, he can't get rid of her, she's still trying to latch onto her sugar daddy.

Taddy is a workaholic and a self-made millionaire. But Taddy's childhood was a very unhappy one and she still hasn't gotten over some of the things that happened to her. She has great friends that help her through the rough times.

The sexual tension between Warner and Taddy is terrific and builds throughout the story.

Tabitha "Taddy Brill" Adelaide Brillford is 27 years old and a self made millionaire. She was hauled off to boarding school when her father found out that she was not his biological child. He paid her bills up to her mid teens and then cut her loose. She managed to finish school and even graduated from college and run a highly successful business.
Warner Truman, (33) is a billionaire widower who owns Truman Enterprises. He ran into Taddy, who was using an alias at one of his resorts. He was immediately impressed with her, but due to circumstances beyond his control the evening ended abruptly and he was unable to get her real name and address or phone number. He thought of her constantly and tried every way that he knew of to find out her real name and where he could find her with no luck.
About 5 months later, he was at a police station pressing charges against a woman for trespassing, when who should walk in but Taddy!
I loved the main characters. They had both had hard lives but as alphas they used that to propel them to very successful careers. They both had tender hearts but were tigers in the business world. The supporting characters were colorful and definitely fun people with the exception of Taddy's parents. I loved the story line and the sexual tension throughout the book. There were plenty of smiles and a few tears and some really hot sex making this book hard to put down. I was also very impressed with the 'extras' that the author included. There is a Cast of Characters: Major Players
at the very beginning of the book. I smiled at this because I am the type reader who has a pad and pen next to me while I read so I can jot down the characters and a bit of info so that I don't have ,to go back and look them up later in the book.
