free! They used stories of other people besides themselves also, scriptures, and how to do it prayers, too!
I liked it all for all the reasons that I have already mentioned above. I recommend this book for all those who can admit that they may have up forgiveness, bitterness, etc. and see that they could and do need helpo do just this but being set free from forgiveness and being in prison to jealousy, bitterness, and hatred, etc. all those negative things that beset up and that God, ourFather wants us to be free of . I received this book free from the authors in exchange for doing reviews for them once zi had finished reading it! You will not be sorry at all for buying it at all! Great job!
In this book I met people who've been wronged in a multitude of ways - betrayed by a friend, molested by a relative, cheated on by a spouse, "let down" by God. Each story is short enough to read in a five minute daily devotion, and that's the way I'd advise reading it. Those struggling with forgiveness (or struggling to understand it) need time to reflect on each story in order to internalize it.
In my personal experience, I've known many fine, upstanding people who drew their moral line at forgiveness. Someone had wronged them and they simply refused to let it go. Sadly, in punishing the perpetrator with unforgiveness, they cursed themselves with a festering bitterness. So I have a passion for the message of this book. Read it yourself, then get a copy for your friends and children. Life's too short to live it enslaved to bitterness.
This book not only talks about forgiveness and the benefits of being able to forgive and the destructiveness of not being able to forgive, but it also gives you steps to take to help you on that path. Little steps that can make a huge difference, day after day, week after week.
The stories told here will echo your own. They echoed my own stories and brought me great comfort. There is also a strength in all of the stories to help anyone who is struggling to forgive someone else or themselves. I highly recommend this book!
