About the Author

Most days, you'll find Stephanie John on a yacht, wearing a very skimpy bikini, drinking champagne, eating chocolate and never gaining weight.

When she isn't asleep and dreaming, in real life you're more likely to find her at the school gates, wearing whatever she dragged on that morning, drinking copious amounts of coffee. She still eats chocolate, though -- everyone has their vices, right?

Somehow, amidst the chaos of full-time mummy duties, she manages to write. Contemporary romance has always been her favourite genre to read for as long as she can remember (age-appropriate, of course).

Never in a million years did it occur to her to write one of her own. Now, she couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Unspoken: A Short Story is Book 1.5 in the Heal Me Series.

Readers of Stephanie John’s Salvation will love being swept back into the very beginning of Kara Collins and Nate Blake’s consuming love story in Unspoken, a short, sexy, January 2016 release. I was reminded while reading Unspoken how much I absolutely loved being captivated by Stephanie John’s writing as she took me deep into the closeness of these lovers in Salvation.

In Unspoken, I loved being in Nate's mind, feeling his initial reactions, temptations and attraction to Kara, Miss Collins. It was a delight and a treat to read the undoing of one of my favorite billionaire heroes, not just because Kara is exquisite but because he is so torn about breaking his own rule of mixing business and pleasure. Details of their meeting were also fun from inside of Nate’s thoughts and his perceptions.....and he is very perceptive. How fortunate for Kara to be pursued by someone so determined!

For those who have yet to read Salvation, this will be a treat and tease into the world of the all consuming love and connection between two intriguing characters. Thank you, Stephanie John, for an early peek into Nate Blake’s mind and heart, one of my favorite men. I look forward to more of their journey!

Unbeknownst to me at the time, this is a novella in the Heal Me series. It was looking at me saying,"Read me next".

Nate Black is a prominent businessman and doesn't mix business with pleasure. Upon meeting Kara Collins, a new employee, his strict way of thinking is demolished.

Nate always trusts his instincts and they were loudly yelling he needs Kara in his life.

Such powerful and raw emotions showed by a man's point of view. I must grab the first book and patiently wait for book 2~

Blurb:
My first rule of business–never mix it with pleasure. Ever.
One unexpected encounter with a new employee and that fundamental rule was forgotten.
With a single touch, Kara Collins obliterated the order of my disciplined life, forcing me to question everything I believed in. Intuition told me I needed her, ensuring I couldn't forget my second rule.
Trust my instincts. Always.
Unspoken takes us back to the first meeting between Nate Blake and Kara Collins, retold from his POV. This short, sexy tease provides insight into the mind of this passionate, powerful and utterly addictive man.
Unspoken can be read on its own, or as part of the Heal Me Series.
Review, spoilers!!!:
Yes yes yes I`m in his head!! Finally Nate`s POV! He falls haaaaaaaard (see what I did ) for Kara. What a sweet read, after reading Heal me 1 I was wondering how Nate felt about meeting Kara. And I loved every bit about it.
What I didn`t like:
Too short hahahaha. I want more, no I need more Nate and Kara. For instance I would love to know why Nate acted so strange the first time they slept together or why he came back.
Now gimme more please!

Who hasn't read a story written from the heroine’s point of view, and wondered, "What was he thinking during all of this? What emotions did he experience?" I think it is pretty safe to say we have all wondered how the hero, or male counterpart of the story, experienced the same situations differently. Stephanie John answered those questions brilliantly in this short story, which encompasses the first meeting between Nate and Kara outside of his office, but tells it from Nate’s point of view. As with Salvation, I was mesmerized by Stephanie’s descriptions and use of an obviously extensive vocabulary. Reading Nate’s experience, and the electric connection he felt to Kara, made me fall even more in love with him. A great example of this is how he describes the first moment their hands touch, the first skin on skin contact when they shake hands:

“It was cool from her drink, but the blazing heat surging to every nerve ending of my body from her touch, set my soul on fire.”

I mean, really……swoon-worthy much??? I absolutely adored Salvation, and this short story follow up is no exception. To be honest….I may have even loved it a teensy bit more. Nate is absolutely irresistible, and hearing his inner monologue makes him even more so.

I can’t express how much enjoyment I got out of this book. It was truly intoxicating, and incredibly sexy to hear the same words from Salvation be followed by Nate’s thoughts and feelings.

“You don’t work for me. Well, you’re not directly beneath me. Which is unfortunate…”

I was ready for the second book in this series before I even set my sights on this one, but after reading this, I think Ms. John needs to hurry up and get me the next installment….I need me some more Nate Blake!

Nate is electrifying! Stephanie John's short story just intensified all my feelings I have for this man, and I gained more insight. It was nice to be in Nate's...MIND. For anyone that has read Salvation (Book1) Unspoken is 1.5. Nate proved to be the sexy, go after what he wants, hot male, in this story, BUT I didn't realize how funny his sense of humor was when thinking about the lovely Kara. I found myself laughing how he would jump from one emotion of wanting her, wanting her body, or her lips, then to how he was so protective over her. It is only alright for him to have those feelings no other gentleman. ahah (can we say ALPHA?) Stephanie teases us with depicting a scene from the male POV and I loved it. Nate truly was determined to make contact with Kara, no one was going to stand in his way. He not only wants to posses her body, he wants her mind and heart. I think this short story is a great read for anyone who has read Salvation and misses Nate, this will hold you over, for me IT MADE ME WANT MORE! (but that is a good thing, right?) For anyone who hasn't read Salvation I think you could do either first, both stories will lure you to want to know how far are Nate and Kara willing to go when so many things are getting in their way.
